Yeah that's what I'm doing. Buying one of anything I can get and then ordering more as I need them. Right now I'm spending more time trying to buy stuff at Nooklings and selling stuff at Re-Tail trying to get those to open up more. I've donated more than 50 things at the museum but I can't find any paintings at all. =l

It's an issue with the game...you still might be able to visit specific dream worlds (if you have the address) but visiting random worlds may not work.
EDIT: Tried to search for a random dream myself and it didn't work...darn you game
Argh... I'm getting an error that after checking around, seems to be related to different AC versions (mine is 1.1). Did you update your game?
There's no way to send stuff to friends other than visiting the towns right?
Argh... for some reason I keep getting an error code. Maybe my connection at work doesn't let me do this kind of stuff?... I'll be at home in about 6 hours from now... I guess you won't be around, but if you are and it's ok, I'd love to be able to go and pick the fruit then :/

Check my edit. The error seems to be related to the 1.1 version of AC. Is yours the same version, or still 1.0?

I won't be home until 7pm (1:40pm now) though

I'm so worried somebody's going to move in on top of my flowers.. So I've been moving my hybrids to areas where there hopefully isn't enough room for them to plop their house on. lol.

Kind of. They don't regrow on their own but you can take flowers and fruit from island tours and replant them later.
