You're welcome. Not all the time. I had a friend who bring Katie over(that's the one I sent to your town) and he was able to bring her to my town without being left behind. I guess it's all luck.

Weird, thought the black ones were a dark purple almost, if I didn't know any better I'd assume that one was wilted lol.
That's a wilted rose, actually. Blacks spawn from red parents or ancestors and look more like a really deep purple/red.At least I finally got a black rose! I didn't know 2 whites make a black though...

Yup. Even other characters in your town can buy from him afterwards, the limit is just one purchase per character.
I never played before an Animal crossing game but from what I read here's what I think :
You don't make a lot of money with fruits only.
People are hunting on the island in the night to catch bugs because they're really expensive.
Online multi-player is more for exhaging furnitures or special items (ex: Nintendo items) and rarely for fruits. Also they can play together on the island with mini games to earn medals.
Though, I am new to this and didn't exchange much yet.

I never knew about hybrids, but there is a little clump of flowers in my town that seems to be multiplying like the 'life' computer simulation and it can only be because of this hybrid thing - all the lonesome ones just sit there.

Don't use that guide. Much of it is wrong or incomplete.
This is the best I've found, though I have yet to personally validate the pansy stuff.

sometimes villagers will plant the same type of flowers next to the ones you have planted, so if its not a hybrid color that's prolly what happened.

Yeah, not as big of a deal - but if you make a big deal of planting them you can still have a pretty decent haul for little work. Now you've got the island and other things you make going online much more worth it. Today I had a 60k sale of my perfect/foreign fruits, which while is much less than an island one but is no effort for a nice little pocket of change every few days.
Yeah, this is a huge problem and why I had to start from orange/red again on my blue rose quest, using the beach instead since villagers won't plant there. I wasn't sure if the reds I was trying to cross were red+ or plain reds. A few days after I unpacked one of the plots I caught one of the villagers walking through adding three different roses to it. Argh!

I'm on flower detail today as my fields have literally blossomed into flower-filled oases thanks to my over-eager villagers.
Is there ANY downside at all to growing hybrid flowers on the beach?
I'm thinking of moving all of my serious growth attempts down there and pruning the rest of my village into flower fields my villagers can abuse on their own without any concern from me.

I've been carefully watering the few targeted plots I have on the beach (which are horizontal instead of diagonal, I might add—I think the different way spawns work in this game suggest diagonal plots are only useful if you have a large plot and are trying to tightly control parentage) and have had one red+ spawn over three mornings. My paranoia tells me the beach isn't as fertile but that's probably just that—paranoia.
What I did was carefully evaluate which spawns were clearly hybrids and thus I could leave in town vs. which spawns might prove difficult (e.g. if they looked like a normal flower, like red+ roses, or if its origins might be confusing if villagers planted more basic flowers nearby.) I ended up with pairs of orange/purple roses and sets of three red/blue/orange pansies on the beach.
Now, the waiting game. It would help if it would stop raining again so I could control the spawning a little bit with some selective watering!
Yeah, I'm going to scrap the flowers I have and just use them for decorative purposes and make a dedicated breeding area where I keep track of the offspring.
