Right, I was wondering about the 'go to someone else's town' thing. Is that a simple way to get the items? Is it difficult? Sounds like you'd have to play throughout the day, constantly checking in..

Every time you submit a high scoring bug over 80 points you score an item, however you have to also beat the current high score. Going to someone else's town doesn't affect the high score so in theory you'll only have to beat 80 every time.

However this is all in theory since everyone focused on their own towns last time.

Yeah, I think building more PWPs (that aren't environmentally unfriendly) can only help town rating. I think police station was one of the things that boosted the "standard of living" points in town rating?

I think so. As long as it isn't something like the garbage can that will reduce environment points and whatnot.

Very few. I do know that I need the shelf, lamp and sofa for sure. Probably the chair as well.

Stripe has been very elusive for me, I only have the sink and table. =\

Even though most of the villager letters are boring, I do read them. The only interesting one I can think of offhand was Lionel telling me he was dreaming about water cascading down my hair or some shit, and that was more weird interesting than anything else :/

Actually I've been pleasantly surprised by letters that Gruff sends to me. He seems to be a really game-aware villager. One time he visited my house and commented that my basement didn't have anything on the walls (which isn't out of the ordinary since a lot of villagers say that). However in his thank-you letter, he says that he wanted to help me out with my walls, and the gift attached was a wall shelf!

Two days ago I sent all my villagers silver slingshots, and while most of them gave back a generic letter response, Gruff's letter said "Thank you for the gift but I already have all the basic tools! It's nice to have a spare though."
