Bleach. One Piece. Naruto

I'll probably get a lot of flack for this from Anime/MangaGaf, but I'll live to deal with it.
I enjoy a lot of other anime/manga, but I thought I'd like to hear reasons why people (that have actually watched/read a good amount of each series) like/dislike one or the other.

I mind you, I'm not asking you guys which one is BETTER.
There is no way to actually measure such a thing seeing as everyone has different tastes.

In other words: this is a BLEACHTARD, PIECETARD and NARUTARD free zone.

Arigato

EDIT:
They are called the big 3 because they are the 3 most overly popular, long running anime and manga that pretty much anyone knew about. They have a huge amount of fans and were usually ranked at the top of manga and anime sites.
This title might even forever refer to these 3 series specifically.

One Piece, by far.

Certainly it's got its own share of shonen-style problems, but it's pretty bloody creative, I genuinely think the cast actually feels like a group of friends, and the fights can really be baller. Took till the end of the Aarlong Park arc to really cement this view, but I really like it.

I have a soft spot in my heart for Bleach, but Kubo sure makes it hard to like sometimes.

For starters, the "Big 3" is a myth. One Piece is so astronomically huge that nothing else compares.

It's also my favourite.

I'd probably enjoy One Piece the most if I seriously followed it... which is part of why I didn't go "eh whatever" and let wikis plug in holes like I did for the other two.

So of those other two: Bleach, easily. That goes dumb in ways that are more entertaining to me.

My opinion as well.

At this point Naruto just makes me roll my eyes, I just carry on reading because I started so many years ago.

Bleach can have some really cool moments but it's got lots of mediocre parts as well.

One Piece is really above the other two. It's the only one where I really have a sense that the author has a plan and doesn't just make shit up on the spot. The characters are great.

It's also the only one that still gives me those "oh shiiiit" moments when a character does something cool.

Big 3?

It's been a while since Bleach and Naruto have been there.

They still are.
There will probably never be another Big 3 for a long time while these series still remain ongoing.

They're probably also the international big three. In Japan yeah I can easily see that being a different story, especially as Naruto and Bleach both seem to be winding down.

Haven't really followed the shows. I did watch Naruto for some time when it kinda started the big anime boom, but after 70 or so episodes, I just gave up.

Heard lots of talk about One Piece and tried to watch it just recently but didn't like it at all. Main guy was so fucking annoying that couldn't stand him for a second. I forced myself through all the way to arc where they fought those shark guys and it didn't get any better as I was promised.

Neither was my cup of tea but if I had to pick one, I would pick Naruto.

One Piece. I'm such a sucker for World Building, and One Piece has it in spades.

Bleach is okay, I don't think I have been genuinely hooked by the story since early Bleach/Soul Society Arc, I'm only reading it now because it's in its last arc.

This is not true anywhere in the world.

Yeah this thread is so 2010.

Bleach specially haven't been a top seller since 2007 or something.

Yeah, Bleach is basically circling the drain at this point. Hell, there hasn't been a Bleach video game since what, the PS3 musou knockoff? And that came out in 2011. It's pretty much done, popularity-wise.

I read Naruto and Bleach out of habit, I guess Bleach is slightly less shitty now so...Bleach.
Never read One Piece but I should.

I think the bigger thing is that they ended the anime before the manga was finished, that shows how much its popularity was falling.

One piece is by far my favourite its always creative and funny.
Naruto has some very slow dull moments and the stupid Uchihas and Bleach just has the worst art and story with lots of irrelevant characters you don't care about who dies a few chapters after being introduced.

Bleach's art is the one thing it consistently has over the other two.

Ahahaha. Bleach has best art of the other 2. Oda and Kishimoto can´t even dream of touching Kubo in the art department.

Don't be naive, you're better than that.
All 3 were insanely popular and dominated in sales during their inception into the industry.
They released to the world in a span of 4 years between each other and afterwords achieved the success just mentioned.

Hence the name the Big 3. Forever and ever this name.

Can you give me the names of any other 3 manga that have done for as long as they did it? At the same time as each other?
Enlighten me, sir.

Dragonball, Slam Dunk, YuYu Hakusho.

Hm, I though One Piece was okay but I never really pursued the manga outside of whenever I had Shonen Jumps around. I'm also not really a big fan of the art. Naruto was pretty good at the beginning but now I have no idea what's going on at the moment. I suppose the same could be said of Bleach. I think I prefer the style of Bleach above the other two so I choose that (going by the manga).

One Piece, no contest. I watched a few episodes of both Bleach and Naruto, but they just didn't click with me.
One Piece, on the other hand, often manages to surprise me with it's bizarre world and characters.

No. That´s not why they are called the big 3. I think an American media just called them that for marketing purpose.

Wow this thread is going to become a graveyard. Out of the ones you mentioned one piece is the better one imho, on multiple fronts.

My ''big 3'' list, as in series that I look forward the most, is: Toriko, Mob psycho 100, One piece.

Blessed be based ONE.

I thought it was a fan thing?

And either way it's really more "The big 3" of the moment. Those will eventually end and others will rise up, and those will end up being prominent like those assuming there isn't a collapse on one side or the other (Japan or rest of the world) before hand.

Dragonball, Slam Dunk, YuYu Hakusho.
First off, Slam Dunk and YuYu weren't even being published for as long as these current 3 are.
Secondly, if you were to combine the sales of each of your selections and of the big 3, the sales far outweigh those as the ones you mentioned.

I do recognize that those 3 were strong contenders during their time and a dominant force to reckon with.
Especially Dragon Ball, dear God, I still love that manga. Loved Slam Dunk. Never got into YuYu but heard great things.

It's not an official name but it is a very popular name among manga readers.

Lol, what?

The anime ended SPECIFICALLY because they were catching up way too fast to the manga and didn't want to put out fillers anymore.

It had ZERO to do with declining popularity.

Bleach might not be *as* big as the other two when taken as a complete whole, but let's not try and pretend the series isn't mainstream and beloved.

Toriko, the world building and sense of adventure is the best by far.

One Piece is the best of the those 3 specifically.

Bleach is currently better than Naruto, Madara is the only entertaining part of Naruto right now.
