Good game to play if you can't play Helldivers 2 right now. It's like Vampire Survivors with quests and structure.

Yea I picked it up yesterday and played it for 7 hours already. Game is already polished even though it's early access. Gets hard though!

That guy has more power than gaming journalism these days.

And it's not unwarranted either. In all of the clips I've seen of him analyzing game mechanics, talking about why a particular game is good, why a particular game is bad, and what elements are important for engaging game design, he's backed up his opinions with solid reasons. It's a much better analysis than I've seen from any mainstream journalists in a long time. He's also actually competent at playing games in both mechanical ability and build strategy.

There's is certainly something there, like he will be talking about a game he's playing and he just casually comments while playing about the underlying mechanics he is currently engaging with, why that's good/bad followed by an easy to digest and understand example of how that plays out elsewhere for the auidence.

And one of the weirdest things is... none of his streams are monetised now, his original asmongold chanel has been almost unused for almost 2 years now, he streams on his none monetised channel daily. Twitch never advertises his stream, why would they? It cost them money and they make nothing off him as bits, donations and adds are disabled. And yet he's always the biggest stream whenever he's live.

I do feel bad about his living condition though, I'd like to slowly help him use some of that money to regularly get some cleaners for his house. It would make a world of difference.

That's the problem there. I can't find his other streams. I just have to watch his YouTube videos.

Waiting for Rogue Core and next season of DRG. As fun as it may be I find Vampire Survivors and it's many clones very boring.

I have a feeling more people care about steam CCUs than the actual games.

My current roster of games I'm rotating through. Hour counts aren't as high as I'd like because I have three kids but I'm loving my game selection right now.

Helldivers 2 and Against the Storm are my main jam right now. Fucking love both of those games.

Bumping this up because the game is pure crack, they steadily added content and continue to do so. Game price is increasing to 12.99€ after the Winter Sale on Jan 2nd, also next patch should have massive performance improvement. I put 25hrs in Vampire Survivors but this is better - more structure + mining, really fun.

Yeah put in about 30 hours myself so far and I enjoy it more than the main game it was based upon lol.

Can't wait to see what DRG Rogue Core is going to be like as well.

That's some good taste right there.

I guess this os the unofficial auto-shooters topic so i'm gonna post here.

Kacho Kacho have you tried army of ruin? It's pretty good.
No haven't seen that one. Added to my wishlist so I can try it out.

Take a look at Nordic Ashes. You might like it.

Yet Another Zombie Survivors is promising imo.

I was about to make a post with my wishlist for the genre and they are both included already.

Tower of babel, death must die and jotunueim army of hel are shaping up pretty good aswell.

The genre has a surprising amount of games, i guess you already tried the classic spell brigade, soulstone survivors, brotato and hall of torment right?

There are even free games that are great, holocure on top of all.

Yeah once the genre clicks you want more of it lol

Brotao is really well liked but I find it incredibly dull. YMMV.

Soulstone Suvivors is decent. Lots of meta progression to keep you hooked. Worth a cop on sale.

Spell Brigade I've seen but haven't played. I'll check it out eventually.

Halls of Torment is S tier. Like Diablo II survivors.

I tried soulstone demo but the combat is not punchy at all, and i was using the barbar, spell brigade seems too focused\balanced around multyplayer.

Another one that is free and good is disfigure, look that one aswell.

Oh, and nimrods if you like starting with a gun and adding parts to it.

I know you two are having your own conversation, but I'm going to butt myself in.

I was recently playing Soulstone Survivors and Hordes of Hel. I got pretty bored of both of them.

Soulstone for some reason is really dull to me. I never got to the point of opening up more skills because the main grind is too boring. I bought 4 games at once, those 2, the Slormancer, which is more of a Diablo like than a bullet hell and a game called Conquest Dark, which I really liked.

Yo Kacho Kacho , you should try the demo of these 2

First one is a very inspired hades-like, it looks and play pretty tight with great voice acting.

Second one is a twin stick\vampire survivor type, pretty simple graphic with the stickman but i do enjoy the ragdoll and gore a lot on this one, and there is an enemy that slide around the map throwing granades that can kill his friends aswell with a surprising decent ai because he try to escape from you or run around corners, and the soundtrack is not half bad.

Since we're sharing, this is my favorite roguelite twin stick shooter on Steam. Probably my most played game on Steam Deck.

DRG:S looks amazing but I'm trying to wait til after early access…

Yeah the early access end in september just wait.

Try army of ruin if you want something finished with a lot of content, or holocure if you want something free, believe me it's good.

Shit now i feel the pressure, i hope you like them even a little.
Haha. I like both. They have potential to be excellent.

Lost in Random is the better of the two. Reminds me of Curse of the Dead Gods. Thought the dice mechanic was very interesting. Didn't like how weightless the character felt. Like she was made out of paper or something.

The Horde Wants You Dead has nice animations but it's far too basic, both in style and gameplay. The to-do list I read was basically the whole game lol so this could end up being a cash grab. I dunno. Seems like a game that will be in early access for so long, by the time it comes out no one will care anymore.

Another cool looking game for the price of a cup of coffee. Yeah, I'll give this a shot on the Steam Deck OLED. Should look amazing on it.

Lol i agree with everything you said.

If you like curse of the old gods you should play ravensword, it's made by the same devs.

^ I tried this demo and it's amazing. A cool mix of roguelite + brick breaker. Can't wait for the full release
