The black man everyone at Activision can agree on
Strategy? Sure.

Before you go in the casino set aside the amt of money you are prepared to lose. If/when you go past that point leave.. DON'T get caught in that mentality of just a few bucks more, just a few hands more, just a full pulls of the slot more.

Set your $$ limit and stick to it.

Vary your bets. I almost exclusively play Blackjack and Roulette; after losing I up my bet and after winning I bet the minimum. I won $150 in 20 minutes last weekend in Vegas.

Well i was down $120 on Blackjack on Friday, and finally broke even on my 5th table. I think I'm going to start exclusively playing on 3rd base, it makes me pay more attention to what cards have been played. A pattern I've noticed is that on the last hand of a shue, face cards usually come up when you hit, so I double down if plausible, even when the dealer has a face card

Can someone explain why splitting 10s is a bad idea?

Thats where you are given 2 10 cards and you split them and run them as 2 seperate hands, correct? Isn't that the best time to do it?

20 is more or less a made hand. I'd say you'd have about a 60% chance to get a card you want on each hand. That's about a 36% to get something you want on both hands. If you're doubling your bet, you'd want at least a 50% chance to improve.

On a dealer 6 is the only time I'd consider splitting 10's, and I'm not even sure if I'd be right to do it then.

I play poker, not blackjack :).

Also if you win before hitting your limit, the winning doesn't push up the limit.

I like my money too much to gamble...

That being said, I've considered going off to play a hand or two of real poker -- which, in my opinion, is really the only gambling game with decent odds.

Yup. Because a Martingale always works.

(provided you have an infinite amount of money to start with...)
