Didn't think a fight would top Morales vs. Pacquiao this year, but this one may have done it. Round 10 has to be one of the greatest rounds that I have ever seen in boxings. Both fighters were dropping bombs on each other the whole fight, and both were marked up, and stunned/hurt.

I kept yelling at the screen for Diego Corrales to pressure Castillo who I thought was just basically a fraud (this fight certainly changed my mind on that front). I didn't know that Castillo was more than up for the challenge, but I got the result I was looking for anyways. Great Great fight with an unbelievable ending. If you missed it, look out for it.

All I have to say is WOW what a fight. If you are even a casual boxing fan this fight cannot be missed. Im very surprised Corrales decided to fight Castillo's fight and it might have been an easier fight for him. Hopefully there is going to be a rematch, this will be there money meal ticket.

I just watched a replay.

Exceptional, exceptional fight. I didn't like how it ended controversially (to me at least)with Corrales being one lucky, tricky motherfucker. Castillo probably would have stopped him had Corrales not spit out his mouthpiece and bought himself another 20 seconds to recover in the corner after the second knockdown (not to mention the spittage after the first). I place some blame on referee Tony Weeks too for letting him get away with it. Sure he deducted a point for it (should have been DQ'ed IMO - or forced to fight without it, though he can't really do that over concerns for the fighter's safety), but that gave him another few precious moments to recover and then come up with the TKO.

I felt by Round 8, and especially by round 10, that Castillo was much more fatigued than Corrales, making it even more crucial that he be allowed to pounce right back on Corrales after the knockdowns. Especially when I dislike Corrales :p

It's a shame when such a courageously and closely contested fight ends with some type of bullcrap. I agree with Weeks for stopping it when he did, however; Castillo was unable to defend himself and may have been seriously hurt otherwise.
