DF - Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: PS5 Pro vs PS5 - A Vast Improvement At 60FPS

necro bumping cause I just started this, is Versatility the recommended graphics mode for the Pro?

Yes, use that mode if you want the best image quality at 60fps. It's the mode that uses PSSR.

Quality mode (which is also on base PS5) might have some graphical advantages in some areas (like foliage pop-in distance and a bit better image stability), but the graphical differences between the two modes are minimal and Versatility mode is actually sharper than Quality mode and it runs at 60fps. Quality mode only runs at 30fps. The other performance modes are garbage so don't bother with them.

Hype Train conductor. Works harder than it steams.
Just started this and was excited to see the PS5 Pro improvements..... it's basically Quality Mode @ 60fps & PSSR fuzzy grain...WTF man.
They need to eliminate this grainy shit otherwise it isn't better then quality mode @ 60fps or not.
It's not fucking funny anymore, it looks like I'm streaming the fucker.

That's just part of the current upscaling technique. Don't know how it's that bad though, it looks great. I'm not a huge stickler for this kind of stuff though

If they can stabilise the picture in the future it'll be fine.
But it's like having a really bad grain effect that you can't turn off or as if it's video compression.
It affects shadows too.
I'm mind blown how this is underlooked.
But if it doesn't bother you then cool 👍
But I'm kinda disappointed they didn't at least use the power to do something else as well outside of this fuzzy 60fps mode.
