anyone else looking forward to Playstation Experience more than Sony E3?

Don't leave me hanging OP.

But I dunno that's going to be in December again right? Kinda hard to be excited about that right now. At least I think so.

I'm not.

You gotta look forward to all the big shows all year (E3, PSX, Gamescom, etc) since Sony spreads their announcements.

Lol at the faux pas.

But yeah, OP. In terms of what I'm looking forward to, it goes like this

EDIT: Revised rankings for Demonite

1) E3
2) PExperience
3) TGS
4) Gamescom

I'm looking forward to PSX more too. I feel like E3's probably going to be more focused on the bigger mainstream stuff which I care less about compared to the smaller titles.

Edit: And I'm looking forward to Gamescom and TGS the most out of any Sony conference. Those are going to be the best.

oh yeah no doubt, but in Sony's case, last year PE surpassed E3 by a lot, tbh i'm more interested for Nintendo at E3 of the big three as Treehouse was amazing

Ah yes, looking forward to port of FFX/2 to the PS4. It will take up 5 minutes of main-stage time. And Hashimoto will be ridiculously enthusiastic.

Well, I have been itching to get a PS4 for a bit, and my plans are of getting hyped as hell for E3, and then go pick up a PS4 the day after E3. I am trying to wait until then just in case they announce a redesign, which is unlikely this year, or a permanent price drop to 349$ USD, making it back to 399$ CAD, which is only slightly more likely. I was also hoping for a nice bundle, a white Star Wars Battlefront one, but there's no way in hell I can wait until November to get it. I wish they included a digital code for pre-ordering the game, so they can release the bundle right away.

So to answer the question, no. I am waaaaaaaay more excited for E3. Also because Microsoft's conference will happen then as well.

Im planning on going to this this year, any idea when I can get tickets?

Venetians website when Sony announces it in all likelihood. Watch the blog for an announcement. Doubt an announcement is coming soon though. After E3 at the earliest would be my guess.

i don't know if going there is great, but as i am not able to go there, i only watch these big events from my house. And PSX was okay, i loved the UC4 demo, and SFV, but i didn't feel there was much to me that day (the day before though i got zelda). E3 in general is much better because it's not just sony doing announcements but all of the three + other softhouses.

Not at the moment.

There's only been one PS experience so far, no idea if they can deliver consecutive years yet.

Also, there was that troll. Can't believe Sony allowed SE to troll that way. (there are usually rehearsals for the presentations so they knew exactly what was going to be presented).

yeah definitely, E3 just feels like a tired parade of the annualized franchises I couldnt give a shit about + CG trailers for games that will never exist

PSX? fun, even with the trolling and crazy unexpected announcements for the fans

It's because their E3 conference is confined to that time period, while PSX they can go however long they want since it's their thing.

My personal favourite is the pre-TGS conference, partly because it's fun to watch GAF cringe and react to how "Japanese' a Japanese press conference is. And I fucking love Japanese games and it's always fun to see the kind of games featured there. ( like Gundam, IDOLM@STER, etc)

However, when it comes to a well-constructed event that I look forward every year, it's got to be Gamescom. SCEE always seem to be on-point when it comes to the amount of time spent for each section, no.of reveals, the pacing, and the type of games revealed at Gamescom are always my favourite kinds. The more niche, quirky games that you don't expect at E3. (but Sony still announces some at E3 anyway), but Gamescom always manages to go above expectations.

E3 is always a great show, but it's very 3rd-party focused, and sometimes, it feels like from Sony's first-party perspective, there's always too much focus on that 'one big thing/one last thing.' I expect we'll see a huge game announcement there, and we'll top it with one last big thing, but somehow that always feel kinda par for course from Sony. Because it's par for course to at least have one or two 'big announcements' from them, it's never surprising, to say the least.

PSX. It was awesome. But also long. I loved it, but I feel like they should have paced it better. Drawn to Death was fun, but it didn't feel like a conference closer that Uncharted 4, WILD or even Dragon Quest Heroes was.

I expect a good E3 but with the PS Experience and Gamescom being more memorable last year. I think the same applies this year.

Not really. All the big and earth-shattering announcements will be at E3. PSX is just going to be indies and followup stuff.

I hope so man. In my opinion the last two years were meh, can't be 3 in a row.

I liked both 2013 (okay, I loved 2013) and 2014, but last year the industry was basically pushing remasters while they were getting their next gen games ready.

This year, new games will be in full motion and you're going to see them in their glory. Expecting some really crazy cool announcements spread throughout 2015, but E3 will be really great from what I hear.

I hope this years PSX is going to have an Until Dawn moment again, was amazing how the crowd started screaming "RUUUN" and stuff.
