Amazing

You know how they had to call the first one Sorcerer instead of Philosopher because philosophers don't exist in America, did they redub 'Arry etc. to be saying sorcerer instead of philosopher in the dialogue?

I'd say all of their accents are very easy to understand. There's a lot of British people that are harder to understand than the HP cast. They're all quite well spoken.

You know it was probably daniel Radcliffe being drunk that made it hard to understand for the OP and not because he was british

It was because they didn't think American kids would think a philosopher sounded interesting, I believe. But yes, there are two versions of the movie with different takes for every mention of the Philosopher's Stone.

They just filmed the scenes twice

Ha, amazing. Quite why they thought the reception would be different across the pond I don't know.
I'm not even sure I knew what a philosopher was at my age when I picked up the first book so it didn't matter a jot to me.

I could possibly understand Hagrid being a touch hard to hear with his thick Devonshire accent but otherwise, r u avin a bubbl m8?
