Sources familiar with Apple’s plans tell BuzzFeed News the company intends to hold a special event the week of September 7th, with Wednesday the 9th being the most likely date. September 9th is the same day on which Apple held this event last year.

Like Apple fall events past, this one too will focus on the company’s next-generation iPhones which are expected to arrive at market with a pressure-sensitive Force Touch display, an improved camera system, and a significantly faster more and power efficient wireless chip. Sources say Apple executives are likely to show off the company’s latest iPads as well, though that 12.9-inch “iPad Pro” seems to be a wildcard, still.

Also expected to debut at this event, the long-awaited successor to Apple TV. As BuzzFeed News previously reported, Apple originally intended to unveil the new set-top box in June at its annual Word Wide Developers Conference, but scrapped that plan a few weeks prior to the event. Multiple sources familiar with Apple’s plans say Apple TV is currently part of the company’s fall event. That said, this is Apple we’re talking about and with a month left to go before the event, plans can shift.

iPhones and iPads in the same event?

I dunno...

Yeah that looks shady.

iPhones + iPads + Apple TV would be an insanely packed event, plus they usually review the latest iOS and OS X releases at this event. And they've never done iPhones and iPads together before.

I'm skeptical.

I am excited to get a iphone 6s. I am absolutely sick of android and google. Hopefully the new camera is a big jump.

Please have an update to the Apple TV.

Probably the last 2-3 Apple events I've been hoping to see it but nothing has appeared so far. I don't even need it to be a big upgrade with games and stuff, I just want it to run better and good voice controls.

If they don't come out with one soon I'll probably just end up buying a new Chromecast. Most of apps I use support it, it's just the few that don't that I want to use Airplay with and Chromecast can't do that with my iPad. :(

"IN"

I have a 5 and was waiting patiently for the 6s to drop so I could get a discounted iphone 6.

Played with the 6 a bit in the Verizon store, definitely going to upgrade my wife's 5S to the new hotness. I still enjoy Android though overall, not ready to split yet.

I'm all in for a new Apple TV and a new mini if it has enough ram this time around.

When did Buzzfeed find a credible source of Apple news, aren't they a random clickbait video site?

Just check the track record of the person doing the leaking.

I need a new tablet. If there's an iPad air with updated specs I'm in. If not I'll... Think of something

Still rocking the original iPad. Works fine still. Apart from lack of compatible apps obviously

In the same boat. I bought a Note 4 2 months ago and I just switched back to my iPhone 5. I'm going to just eat the cost, sell my Note 4 and iPhone 5 and buy a 64GB iPhone 6S.

Hurry up, with all the Android fail flying around I'm totally ready to get a 6S Plus. 5C still works great but I want the battery and size bump so bad.

god yes. buying that iphone 6s the second it's on sale. I'm fucking dying with this 4s.

Also interested in the iPad Pro. Should be an awesome comic book reader.

Only question for me is whether to get another 6 or jump to the + now that the + will have the extra power to cope with the higher resolution. I always felt it was a little framey before.

I still don't like how big it feels in the pocket though.

Cool. I'm fine with my iPhone 6 for another year or two. But give me that new Apple TV. And I might grab an iPad mini with a laminated screen and faster guts than the current mini. Let's do this!

iPhone, iPad and Apple TV sharing the same event? Not sure if I buy that.

In any case, I'm looking to get a new iPad this year.

I'm glad I bought the iPhone 6+, iPhone 6S + doesn't sound like big enough changes. I really hope they announce iPad Air 3 or Mini 3

Most excited for the new Apple TV, still hoping for a iPhone 6C(ompact).
:((
It would make sense. They'd replace the current 5C with the same device with maybe slightly different design but the internals of a 6. Same thing they did with the 5C. If anything, new colors and better specs. 64-bit and everything.
