As far as I know, yes. Just make sure you show up at the proper time, and find where the iPad line is.6.8 said:For reserve and pick up in store, am I guaranteed an ipad if i reserve?
I don't want to drive down to the mall downtown if I'm not.

Ah, yes. The magic of a front facing camera and head tracking.neojubei said:Head Tracking Allows Glasses Free 3D on iPad

Here's the problem with this: the 3DS achieves 3D by essentially halving the resolution per-eye (its screen sends every even-numbered vertical line to one eye, and every odd-numbered vertical line to the other). Doing this would put Retina Display-style pixel-doubling density out of reach. Worse yet: remember, the 3DS's screen is meant only to be viewed head-on (never at a rotated angle). A 3D iPad would need to do proper 3D in both portrait orientations and in both landscape orientations. So that's not just 2 times the pixels, it's 4 times the pixels. AND you'd lose its fantastic IPS viewing angles.Jayayess1190 said:Random thought: There was a rumor not too long ago about the new iPod Touches getting 3D screens. This, on the other hand, while not creating any sense of depth since it's just an optical illusion, is far more achievable without sacrificing viewing angle or pixel density. I really want to see someone do a good job of combining head-tracking dynamic viewing angle stuff with an actual 3D display with good viewing angles; done right, it could be astonishing.neojubei said:Head Tracking Allows Glasses Free 3D on iPad

Mike Abramsky with RBC Capital Markets sees Apple easily beating Wall Street forecasts for iPad 2 sales, with the second-generation device reaching between 2 million and 3 million units moved in the quarter. In all, he sees 7 million iPads being sold in the second quarter of fiscal 2011, a three-month span where the iPad 2 was on sale for less than a month.

edit: finally got my ipad 2 today. holy shit, it's thin. I do wish the screen was higher res or, at least, laminated to the glass to reduce that distance between finger and content.

Yeah, the on-the-glass thing is so nice. Ah well, that's how Apple's gonna get me to upgrade to the iPad 3.LCfiner said:what? you didn't hear? Android tablets are going to squeeze Apple out and turn it into a tiny niche. because open, open and cheap and open.

I'm kinda wishing I held on to mine to permanently mount in an iCade.
You're a good brother, hopefully she appreciates you.LCfiner said:original became a birthday gift for my sister (turned 13). normally, I would've craiglisted the old one but, honestly, i could not think of a single decent thing to get her for her birthday so I gave her the ipad.
If she was obsessed with Beiber or Bratz or other tween crap, it would be a lot easier (and cheaper) for me to shop for her, lol.

it's a good feeling when you see little kids using the iPad and figure it out really quickly. they'll be facetiming you like pros before you know it.

Video files, ebooks, audiobooks with saving bookmark/progress, comics.
For ebooks I mostly use my kindle anyway.
Im also going to be using it for our online store. We are having more and more locals turn up to buy stuff in person but we dont label the prices on our product. Walking back to the desktop to check the website is slow and annoying. I have also found that pictures and video demos when shown get us quite a lot of sales so I will probably need to stream or store video on the device.
