I've had black iPhones since 2008. Kind of feel like a change. Silver/white looks so good. Or stick with black the tried and true.

I think the gold iphone picture that looks bad is probably from lighting.

- Home button. If they fit snugly around the old one it might cover the new Touch ID button.
- Camera cut-out. If it's cut in a triangle shape, it might cover up the dual LEDs.

Gold is not terrible but I don't like how the Touch ID ring is Gold. The ring should've been plain aluminium on all of the phones, really.

Huh? I don't believe the back was ever gorilla glass.

This was mine by the time I sold it. Horribly scratched over normal everyday usage. Plus it's more likely to break and makes the phone heavier. Totally not worth it.

I really wish they would have kept slate as an option, looks a lot better than "space grey" to me

plus like others have said I'm guessing the only reason they did was to not have people complain about scuffing, which has yet to be a problem with my black/slate 5

To date, this represents a second major shift in the branding convention of the lettered iPhone: when iPhone 3GS launched it was called iPhone 3G S in all official materials. As soon as Jobs returned from his leave everything was changed to iPhone 3GS, the convention we have come to learn until the fifth generation.

OT titles need to be updated, new conventions need to be learned, this changes everything

Perfect tint to hide the brutal scrapes on the edge of my phone. And I treat my phone like a goddess.

Don't stress. Obviously, we don't know the yield on the finger print readers; however, the 4S and 5 weren't difficult to get. Then again, they both had preorders, lol.

That's the problem with the gold though, it doesn't matter that it looks good, the people you'd expect to buy it for tacky reasons will still do so and anyone who sees you with it will think you're one of them.

I'm not saying you should be particularly concerned about what random people on the street think of you, but there's no way to convey that you got that colour because you thought it was well done.
