From the Observer;

"There is absolute panic at Raw at this moment. The show was scheduled to build to a segment where Brock Lesnar beat up Rock to set up next year's WrestleMania main event. Rock is not there. The word at the building is he went home. Vince McMahon, the writers and producers are in the process of redoing the show, evidently believing the angle has been nixed. Nobody knows any details as to what happened past that. The belief right now is Rock is not appearing and hopefully if that changes we'll get an update."

Persp is back, he posted yesterday, I think.
Good, fuck WWE.
it's probably best Rock bailed out, maybe now they realize they should push people who genuinely love the business like Punk, Bryan, Cesaro, etc. and not rely on bums that are only in it for the payday and put in -100% effort

also, lol @ redoing an entire show because a part timer left.
Really? I don't think Rock came back just so he could be forced into a rubber match with Cena to give Cena "the rub."

I wonder if Rock skipping RAW is a work. Doesn't seem like the kind of guy to walk out because he had a kind of sup par match with a kind of hostile crowd.

Then again the dude looked bummed after his match though and not in that "oh I just lost" kind of way. Clearly wasnt happy with something. Maybe they changed the ending of the match last minute.

i wonder what AJ is doing.

Everyone.

Friends, I want you all to escape your vicious cycle, just like RBH did.

There's only one way to taper off: Start anew with a slightly less vicious cycle. Tune into UFC on FOX next weekend.

I'm here for you.

If it's legit, I don't blame Rock at all. As far as I'm concerned, any debt he owed Vince for giving him his break has long since been repaid by all the returns.

I have to say. Last night showed how right Bret Hart was when he pretty much buried HHH's wrestling ability and praised Undertaker's a couple months ago.
I kept reading from some fans how Bret needs to drop the hostility to Hunter, and so on. But really, everything he said was completely accurate. He needs these guys like Undertaker to catapult himself into a bigger stage.

We were talking historical and memorabel right, because neither two matches were his best technical matches.
A match featuring Undertaker at WM and with a very good performance at that is going to be remembered far more than a WWE title match that took place at a minor PPV.

This is all a work for the return of the Hollywood Rock.

I am sure Vince paid him well for all the returns.

Bailing on a wrestling commitment is shit move, no matter what way you cut it.

And it's not like Rock has been shit on or buried by WWE all along. He won the title, he won 2 matches against Punk.

if anything Rock should realize he can't work long/good matches anymore. He isn't the wrestler he was 5 years ago. When the match has that many rest points, it can't be that good to begin with.

Was anyone able to catch what The Rock said to Cena after their match while they were still in the ring? I couldn't follow the lip movements. I'm curious if he told Cena he was done at that point.

I could tell The Rock said thank you and I love you after Cena left the ring with The Rock still standing in it.

Anyone got a Cena avatar for me?

Here's a few I made that I don't think have been claimed yet;

If its legit, I give Rock all of the props in the world. If he recognizes that he can't go anymore and instead of coming back and shoving himself down our throats for another year, he just walks away...that is admirable.

And coincidentally, exactly the opposite of what HHH would do.

God it should have been Streak vs Streak for the main event, would have been so much better. Then just have Taker retire after tomorrow and a tournament for the belt culminating at Extreme Rules.

THIS SHIT ISN'T HARD

But then what about media, Hollywood, TMZ, exposure. It's not about wrestling

I just find it hard to believe that The Rock was signed past Mania. It doesn't make sense to me.

The man was saying 'thank you' to the fans as he walked down the ramp. How was that anything other than the end?

It looked to me like the "everybody like Cena now" moment was something they pushed out there at the last minute. Check the awkward way the show ended after the Cena match. It looked like the thing was going to end as soon as Cena held up the title the first time, then he talked to Rock and they had that awkward moment in the ring, thenn Rock stood around and said thank you, then when he got to the top of the ramp Cena was there and basically grabbed Rock's hand so Rock could lift his hand up.

It was terrible. It was more awkward than Brock Lesnar doing his own promos.

That really pissed me off. I was expecting something to happen, but the stupid Cena wank-fest kept going and going.

I saw wm yesterday and wasn't on this thread, but the pin was a fast count to me. Anyone else feel the same way? Maybe that had something to do with it. Someone changed the finish or something.

Nah, we all knew Rock was there to put over Cena. That finish and end sequence was definitely planned for a lomg time.

I guess we now know the answer to the age old question.

Yes, Cena is a better ass-kisser than Dwayne.

Less than two hours of wrestling last night and they still ran out of time for one of the advertised matches.

Jeez.

gotta fit in those four promos for the main event everybody's already paid for, man! we don't have time for wrestling and shit!

P Diddy's gotta perform!

and without any backstage segments, long ass america the beautiful intro and a relatively short musical guest.

Seems WM was a shit show from a time management POV and well as everything else that was wrong with it. I wonder if we will hear about some heads rolling by the end of the week.

What if a Cena heel turn was the plan and was changed at the last minute. If I was Rock I would be pretty pissed at that change and the way it ended as well.

Would be hilarious of that is the case.

are you saying this was a work? did Vince notice that Dwayne was gassing so he told the ref to cut it short?

I still feel like all last night's match between Cena and Rock proved was that Cena is a sore loser and Rock isn't.

And yet we're supposed to cheer for the guy.

Dwayne Johnson isn't on TV tonight because he suffered an injury, the nature of which we don't know the severity of at press time in last night's match.
