He did a lot of WWF stuff in the late 70s/early-mid 80s. Makes enough sense. There aren't many Japanese dudes who make more sense than Fujinami and Inoki.

Mr. Saito would be nice. Get Fuji to induct him, he's had a decent WWF career and apparently he's a big reason WWF guys were able to get to Japan and find work during the 90s.

-HOF is not a storyline, dude used to wrestle in WWE
-Inoki once won the WWF title
-Website is not the televised product
-UFC is not a direct competitor to WWE

To post this you'd have to have the memory of a goldfish and completely forgotten the entire "angle" of Sting having just "vanished" for 14 years as if TNA doesn't exist (rightfully so, some might say) - and WWE has never done inter-promotional events. They want you to believe that WWE is the only wrestling in the world that matters and everything else is some crappy indie, at best. When hyping up Brock Lesnar's achievements they never mention his NJPW championship run, only the UFC and WWE championships.

This is the WWE "Universe" and everything else is quite simply beneath them. Corporate will never let their "talent" wrestle anyone outside of WWE, especially if it's just to get over with some internet smart marks.
To be fair, JBL did mention that Brock was IWGP champion!

HOF videos are shown on the actual shows, with NJPW footage.

The website is pimped constantly and IS used to further angles with content shot for it that you are directed to on television. Plus the WWE Network is...online.

UFC is a competitor. The only true competitor WWE has in the US. No one but wrestling fans, UFC fans, and boxing fans are buying PPVs. Those 3 compete with each other. UFC and WWE were literally JUST competing over who could get the services of a talent.

There is no reason to mention TNA when they can't show any footage or images of it. But Flair did mention Sting being in TNA on WM Today anyway, and Cole agreed that Sting hasn't been doing nothing for 14 years. Before 1986 or so, WWF mentioned other companies when guys came in. In the 90s, they mentioned their working agreements with AAA, USWA, ECW, SMW, NWA, and after a while, WCW. Since 2001, they can mention everything since they own it all. There is no reason to mention TNA runs.

The idea of a Bryan/Nak match is a pipe dream, though. No disagreements there. WWE hasn't done anything like that in over 20 years.

I'm normally not one to nitpick, but this past Sunday JBL specifically mentioned Brock's IWGP run during his WrestleMania entrance. WWE is super inconsistent with how they handle references to other promotions, but I think that's because upper management is split over how to address it.

At this point of time...I might as well wait until Lucha Underground hits dvd box set because I missed a LOT of episodes over the past few months.

This picture got me thinking

Why did WCW or NJPW never make a Vader Time clock? It seems so incredibly obvious in retrospect.

Do you think WWE creative / Vince actually think feuding with Big Show or Kane is actually a good thing for break out talent?

From the outside it seems like intentionally sabotaging someones push I can totally see it going like "Big Show are Kane are the most experienced guys on the roster. This should work out great and if it doesnt its the new guys fault" and somehow they just let it slide that they fall flat every time.

I always took it as a 'If you can survive a Big Show feud, you're actually over and not just a flash in the pan.'

Even though Cody survived one and we saw what happened to him.
