Catching up on this week's Impact. Lashley and King is a decent match given Lashley's awkward style. And HOLY SHIT at that mid-air suplex by Bobbeh.

OMG @ Anderson visiting Shaw's mom. So good. Haha. Shaw's mom has the same first name as Hemme. The plot thickens. And so does Anderson's rod.

...and a logical end to the Impact main event. It IS possible.

Overall, a pretty well-booked Impact this week. Hoping Sacrifice follows suit.

I think they're doing a great job of building Shaw as a monster heel and when he faces natural good guy babyface Anderson in that match on the PPV, that's going to draw buys.

Why do all heels have to be "monsters"?

Also, from an in-ring booking perspective, it was a very logical Impact.

-Gunner took the pin from Storm in their tag match, and Bully missed Roode on the table resulting in putting himself through it. Babyfaces look vulnerable heading into their respective bouts...and the tables match concept was teased even more for Roode/Bully
-Angelina pinned Madison to make the babyface champ look weak
-Aries and MVP had a good, clean battle that resulted in MVP reminding Aries of who's the boss
-Magnus heeled it up and got himself DQ'd...which allowed Abyss to win and technically get a TNA contract again...and he low-blowed EY at the end too
-Lashley looked like a powerhouse against King, but King still saved face by walking away smiling and acting like he doesn't need the win anyway

I really dug it. Every match felt like it mattered. The opening promo was the only semi-weak part of the show

7/10 Impact this week IMO. Good wrestling matches, entertaining and/or bizarre pre-recorded segments, and good intensity and flow.

I don't think every heel has to be a monster, but when a character's entire credibility lies on him being able to actually beat someone up, and he can't do that, it kind if loses its luster. Shaw was supposed to be a scary, psychotic creep. Now he's just some loser who lives in his mom's basement and TNA wants me to pay to see him get his ass kicked, even though I've already seen that. Not exactly compelling.
