Geremy Mustard (Chair): The Revolution will be much more powerful than the GameCube.
You could control Dante in Devil May Cry with the analog stick, but swing the pointer like a sword to attack enemies and perform original combos.

It is just talk, unfortunately. But screens aren't any better. If I talk to friends who have never gamed before and I try to explain to them the beauty of, whatever, say Ghouls and Ghosts, neither talking nor screenshots/videos will tell them anything that I want to convey. Actually controlling the game is what makes the experience.lollerskates said:yawn talk talk talk talk
nintendo release some screens or vids of revolutoion games plz
every day its just talk

Have you played DMC? Can you really imagine swinging your arm around for that long to fight in that game?
MightyHedgehog said:You know, this is probably a bit off-topic, but seeing that so many devs are apparently unaware of any real details surrounding the new Ninty system right now/very recently, just how much of a software flow do they expect to have in the first two years for Rev? Sounds potentially very thin in the early going, at least for third party software.

koam said:It was a pretty good read, one thing stuck me as odd though, the companies they interviewed.. they normally don't develop for Nintendo.
I was thinking more, throw the person in the air then aim and shoot at him. Press "A" to swing the sword. I was wowing at the concept of DMC on the rev.

Is any of them saying they will actually make a game for it? Don't confuse the PC niceties Nintendo always gets from developers for actual support.capslock said:Don't underestimate smaller developers.

It seemed to start around when they got the hands-on time with the Rev. prototype.capslock said:Since when did 1UP turn into Ntards? I swear there's been a ton of features on Revo lately. *goes off to read article*
PezRadar said:But I will admit one thing.. I really hate how Vicarious Vision strokes the DS's penis like 24/7, Its great they develop for it and have 3 games on the system 1 being really good, but really.. he mentioned DS like 80x =[
Karthik Bala (Vicarious Visions): Much like the DS, I think people are underestimating what the system is capable of.
I think you are just more upset that somone mentioned DMC on a non-Sony machine. Quit yer bitchin'. Strong American men have no problems swinging their arms around.SolidSnakex said:Have you played DMC? Can you really imagine swinging your arm around for that long to fight in that game? I wonder if people even think about how annoying that could get before they say how great of an idea it is. Action intese games like that wouldn't be fun to swing that controller around. Something like Zelda it'd be fine but not with games like DMC or DW ect.

WindyMan said:Once again, 1UP puts together a great feature on the Revolution, whilst Matt-IGN sits around with his hand down his pants and does nothing to drum up interest to his IGN Cube channel.
As for the actual article, while comments from developers are great, I want to hear what publishers have to say. Developers can only do whatever they want if they have a publisher with the pocketbooks to let them.
Comments from different publishers would be a lot more pertinent as to the Revolution's chances.
this is the only lame excuse people can come up with to counter any positive revolution idea.SolidSnakex said:Have you played DMC? controlling the gun with one hand the sword with the other would rock hard.
sure is not like the developers will only include one way of controlling characters with the revmote.lollerskates said:....for about 10 minutes.
seriously ... you have some easy-to-fall-off arms ...Ramirez said:If they did that with DMC,your arm would fall off after about 10 minutes of playtime :lol
but then he'll be like "they can say they support revo all day long, but no one would announce any games for it."Pellham said:MrBob does have a point. These developers are small fry. Their opinions are cool and all but i'd rather we see what Capcom, Namco, EA and Konami have to say about the Revolution.
