No, but maybe later if it's actually is good. I'm very skeptical about it though after the footage I've seen.

Waiting on reviews but likely yes, gameplay looks interesting and it helps its a $40 game and not a full priced one.

Currently wrapping up my King's Field series play with IV and going on to Shadow Tower series run next. Big fan of From Software. No interest in Nightreign at all.

Bought the digital deluxe edition already. I had the CE reserved but i can't afford it. I'm kinda sad in that there are 3 CE statues and I'll only have 2 of them. I plan to buy the CE if Namco still has it in a couple months. Namco's store still has the DLC CE and it was $100 on sale the last time I checked.

Might sound super weird but I'm excited for the offline solo part of it. I'm excited for all the new content within ER as well as the playable characters.

Nah.

I've 100% the game on both PS5 and XSX (DLC too). I'm done with the game forever. I might have put 1000 hours into this game.

I'm very disappointed with the poll result tbh

For 40 bucks you don't wanna support the best developer in the past decade?!?!..... and then you all complain about 80 bucks game, yeah whatever bro

cry me a river next time yo'll complain about 80 bucks games

Well, I guess on the plus side, the |OT| will be a smaller, better, community for the number of us who buy it.

You making it btw?

....Edit:

exactly, picky stingy whiny ass babies, complaining for complaining sake.....'eeeww multiplayer'...'eeeeww re-used asset'...then developers give them 70-80 bucks games 'eeewwww too expensive'
...Assuming you don't implode and get your name crossed out before doing so.

I loved Elden Ring but have zero interest in this because it doesn't even feel like it's "canon" in the Elden Ring story. It feels weirdly disconnected from the base game in a way that doesn't seem genuine and that turns me off.

Probably also has to do with the multiplayer aspect. Even if there is some kind of linear story to it, I just don't care about it.

I feel the Same about that Dusk Bloods game, too.

Yeah, Im interested in the playable characters stories & love trying to piece together the lore even if its far from perfect.

I've been a Souls fan since Demon's Souls on PS3, and from what I've seen of Nightreign, I just have no interest.

Yet another thread of yours that backfires, must be you.

No, people should not support a game just because it's from a developer they like. It's a multiplayer asset flip to make a quick buck and it should fail so From gets the message that this is not what their fans want from them. If you keep supporting slop, you will keep getting slop.

No.
Er is more than enough. I was not interested in dlc too. Not at all. I would prefer to replay any of souls games. Er is great and all but it's too huge to replay for me. There is enough game there.

This is some weird mp game I don't want. So why would I buy it even if it's 40$

wtf

I have no doubt this was a Bandai Namco request, not something that From wanted to make, despite what they say in PR. With the recent announcement of the movie, they're clearly trying to do the multi-media IP thing with Elden Ring. I don't think they'll see much success with it, but Bamco doesn't exactly have a lot of huge IPs working on anything at the moment, so this is what we get.

The game itself doesn't interest me based on the format, and in my limited time I don't want to deal with other people's shit when I want to play games and unwind.

I also have no interest in Duskbloods.

I was pleasantly surprised when I watched all of the gameplay trailer. I felt skeptical about Elden Ring before it came out but after the platinum and right now in my dlc run I think it's one of the best games out there.

I was wondering about the name of the place the game is in - Limveld. Is that Limgrave from a different time? Or near Limgrave?

I'm middle of the way between "No" and "maybe".
Quite simply I'm not particularly interested in what they are going for, but hey, if it turns out to be particularly good maybe I'll give it a try and play it a bit with some friends.

There are better free mods out there for the game and no, i dont want to support a cash grab asset flip game

I don't spend money to "support devs". I spend money to play the games I like, and some asset flip multiplayer slop isn't a game I like.

But no worries, next time they develop a single player game I'll probably be there.

Not interesting enough to keep me entertained for more than 3 days.

One of the things I really enjoy in "souls" games is to explore every corner at my pace, this closing circle in Nightreign would annoy me a lot.

I agree completely about the exploration, but I treat this as a DLC / side project and not a fully fledged release.

If I get a couple of days worth of fun out of it that's okay. It's also "only" 40 bucks, which helps.

Yes. I enjoyed ER. I like Rogue-likes/lites. I don't mind playing with randoms. It's only $40. I see no reason why I wouldn't enjoy playing this game for 40 to 60 hours.

From are one of the best developers in the past decade, yes. But if they want to go down the absolute slop GAAS multiplayer shite, then I will vote with my wallet and not support them in this instance, so that their future endeavours can still merit them being one of the best developers in the industry.

I value my money, I don't see enough content at launch to justify the price, the game releases in 4 days and there is no roadmap detailing the support the game will have, Limveld isn't enough to keep me engaged for more than a few days, different classes aren't either since the core gameplay is always the same and by buying this we are encouraging one of the best single player (with optional MP) game makers to pursue the GAAS/whale hunting markets (and they are already releasing another MP game soon for Switch 2).

Not interested in that.

Might take it later, for some coop action with friends (some are interested). But solo, no way I buy it. And 40 bucks is too much for this for me.

I am surprised to see how many people who enjoyed Elden Ring — most it seems — have no interest in this.

For me, like the DLC, this promises more content of the kind I enjoy, boss fights, in a more streamlined way without an overarching solo campaign.

I guess people really love the solo campaign structure, or really hate the idea of coop.
