i have a PC that is quite capable and should keep me going for another 2-3 years. i'll get a slim console once my PC is struggling.

i did pre order an Xbox Series X but it died after 4 days. sounds like the PS5 is riddled with problems too. plus that thing is UGLY and i don't want to have to look at it. hopefully the Slim model isn't another monstrosity but i am not filled with optimism after the PS4 Pro + PS5. seems Sony has lost their minds when it comes to designing a console.

I would be interested to see a Slim model down the line, though. The PS5 is pretty hefty. I'm personally in the camp that loves the design, but I always prefer Slim models. I love my Slim PS4, I think it looks sleek.

Are you kidding..? Slim model will take at least 2,5 - 3 years before it's released. For example:

• Original PlayStation 3 (2006)
• PlayStation 3 Slim (2009)

I'll be happy if I can get a regular PS5 before summer 2021

I'm very indecisive when it comes to the Slim or Pro models, but I really like the OG PS5 design. So i think for once i'm gonna get the year 1 consoles.

Yeah, the PS5 is too damn huge and ugly, and has no interesting exclusives, but will be stacked with them ~3 years from today when Slim shows up.

XSX on the other hand is more OK to my taste, but it's still a shame MS didn't made a digital-only console, which should be abouthalf of the size. Nevertheless I'll be getting one due to the LG promo, but if there will be a Slim model somwhere down the line, preferably similar to 1X design, I'll most likely switch to it.

There is basically no downsides if you're patient. I envy some of the more patient gamers really. You will get a better deal down the line with price cuts and bundles, and plus a bunch of games already out. In a way though I've been forced to be patient with the stock being gone instantly, so maybe I'll actually hold off this time. My PS4 is still going strong, and I'm not too picky over graphics.

Yep. I don't care about Xbox and the PS5 is hideus, so I'm waiting for both a slim model and more exclusive titles to come out, as those are my main reason to buy the console as I play multiplats on PC.
