Half the people driving here in AZ don't even have a valid ID or real insurance. Also, the transit systems does suck but that's why you look for a job that's close to you and everybody has to use it not just illegals. Why is the transit system even part of the discussion? All AZ wants to do is to kick out those illegal immigrants that are abusing the system ( food stamps, education, medical) which we, the tax payers have to pay.

Yeah, most of the foreign exchange students in high school that had to rely on public transportation to get around constantly complained of how garbo it was compared to "back home."

Central Phoenix is a mess. The Orbit and lightrail in Tempe make it a bit more bearable, but The Valley is pretty atrocious.

The little tiny lightrail does make things a bit better, but look how much of a giant headache that whole process was. just for that small lightrail..how pathetic.

When the illegal immigrants came here illegally they knew the dangers that they might be deported back someday fully knowing that their kids might be affected at a later time. Does it suck? Of course, but there are legal ways to come to the US even thought it takes a long time but that's what my family did and it pay out to wait.

And yes Americans are probably abusing the system even more than illegal immigrants but that's not an excuse to allow illegal immigrants to abuse it as well, remember, they are here illegally.

Why was/is there a clause that allows states to be exempt from these kinds of federal laws? Are states allowed to institute segregation again if they voted on it and it passed? If that's the case what's the point of federal laws then except just as some guideline.

Welfare gives very little, you have to go through a lot of hoops to get the aid and prove you're eligible, it doesn't last forever unless you're disabled and even then it may still not be enough. I don't know where conservatives get this idea that poor people want to remain poor in awful conditions living month to month. Do you think they get welfare + make thousands per month on the side? If that's the case why would they need the welfare to begin with? What is this fantasy except paranoid delusions meant to ease conservatives minds and make them believe it's justified to continue to disenfranchise people who need help.

Conservative jealousy of poor people is the weirdest fucking thing in politics. They're upset about how great it is but will never just do it for themselves. It's their own mental contradiction that they can't parse.

Look alot of people feel strongly about this , I'm all for legal immigration but if you've benfited from a crime you should be forced to pay .

There are millions of people who would love to cross the border into this country but can't because there is a huge distance and vast oceans to cross. So they try and get in legaly. Those are the ones who should benfit from immegration reform. Not those who break the law no matter the age.
