If you block an attack and immediately follow with a forward dash you'll perform a parry. This knocks the Arm to the floor for a longer recovery period than just normally blocking. You also gain an auto-parry for maybe a half-second if they happened to attack with a second Arm immediately.
I haven't been following ARMS to learn all the tricks to winning.
Anyone have a good tutorial that's more in-depth than the one in the game?
Arms Guide and
Arms Tips
Anyone feel like the matches should be 120 seconds long instead of 99? The 21 seconds could make all the difference since in most of the time out matches we are usually left with a sliver of health. Just a thought.
I would love to see the time extended or even removed (in ranked). I feel when I play skilled players it almost always goes to time.
While Master Mummy is great for scrub busting, it feels like he gets eaten alive by anyone that knows what's going on in this game.
I end up switching to Twintelle for easy wins, but I always have this dirty, guilty feeling afterwards. haha
I guess what I'm trying to say is: Give Master Mummy a spinning lariat that reflects arms and grabs opponents. ty and godbless
He already has that. It's called the Megaton. I think Master Mummy is decent. He forces you to attack, which means you're vulnerable if the Master Mummy is good. The issue is that you have to be able to read grabs because against a good Master Mummy I'm rushing him down and mixing up between point blank grabs and single punches. If Master Mummy reads well, I lose. If he doesn't, I win.
I'm just trying to get the damn Coolerang or Chakram to replace the Ramram on my Min Min, but I'm getting everything but.
I think the Ramram is better than the Coolerang and Chakram. You get more damage from the Ramram. Coolerang is nice for the ice effect, but against a good opponent you won't get much of a follow up. I prefer to get the extra damage.
I joined to see him get 0-2'd and then leave. Not cool man, when you face someone better you keep playing.
I've beaten him up in ranked and he stayed, so maybe he just didn't like how the match played out? He definitely doesn't leave after a loss in my experience.
As strange as this sounds, I'm not thoroughly convinced that snek park is bad lol
Like, you need to keep the opponent off the boards and the boards themselves allow you to have different attack patterns because of how they work (essentially, you can kinda go HAM since movement works differently than on foot since you're still mobile even after punching... so, the board vs. no board matchup is a blowup because snake board actually moves you enough in a side dash that you can avoid someone's punish).
The footsies on the board is kinda interesting once you realize you have to use the humps and momentum to get higher than the other board user.
...
But yeah, this might change once I see more stuff, but I'm not angry whenever the stage shows up since I enjoy the enhanced mobility and makes it feel like everyone has a gatling gun lol
If I knock the opponent off the board it's an instant win for me. Like... I feel bad. I just rush them down and they can't hit me at all because the board blocks everything. I don't like the stage at all. I think it's the worst stage in the game by far.
