Top three contenders for The Flash role casting, according to LatinoReview - apparently they have a bad track record right now?

1. Some Australian I've never heard of named James Mackay

2. Matt Barr - I don't really know what kind of character the Flash/Allen is, but this dude was really good in Hatfields and McCoys as a lighthearted, lovable and goofy type character.

3. They don't know the third actor yet - they'll update when they find out

I don't know these people.

Matt Barr was on Harper's Island and was one of the better parts of that show. From the two shown I'd pick him as the flash.

Seems the third one is Grant Gustin?

Im just going to put this in spoiler quotes but its a question about a character from the first season going forward and some people might not like to read the speculation.

What is the likelyhood that Manu Bennets character gets off the island? I am nearly certain he was the guy who bought the large packet of drugs in one of the later episodes of the season except he had a hood up.

Do you mean the second Vertigo episode? Wasn't that just Diggle pretending to be a junkie and buying the drugs in order for Oliver to locate the supplier?

As to your speculation,
it's highly probable that he eventually gets off the island. They seem to be hyping Deathstroke as one of the big villains (or anti-heroes I guess), and he's very popular, so it's almost certain that he'll face off with Oliver in Starling City at some point. Or I could be completely wrong and he becomes Deathstroke through the island flashbacks, and his story begins and ends there, though I doubt it.

I HATED Grant Dustin on Glee. Which was the point of the character, I suppose, so good job. But the hate remains.

In my dream universe he is cast as a douche-y flash[back] character whose sole purpose is to out-douche Douche Ollie.

Who were you hoping for? Besides movie people.

The following were my choices:

Ryan Kwanten

Misha Collins

Devon Sawa

All these guys are funny, can be charismatic (well, I'm iffy on Sawa on that front), and can bring the drama in when they have to.

Plus they're fucking cut, man. Gotta have that stupid fucking six-pack quota to make me feel like shit.

Well, I dunno about Collins. He might be doughy under their, I dunno. Alan Tudyk would have been a great choice too. The guys that are rumoured above are total unknowns to me, so hey, maybe their ultimate choice is good.

Worse than Thea?

"I know it was hell on the island. But it was hell here too!"

I don't know, I guess the character is easy to hate, but most of what she says and the way she acts makes sense coming from a spoiled, entitled, rich girl that probably felt loss for the first time ever.

I try not to hate on Laurel but she reminds me too much of Lana Lang from Smallville. I really hope they don't spend 6 seasons moving her from love triangle to love triangle. Fucking Smallville.

They're about equally as bad, but the fact that Laurel is the female lead of the show gives her the edge. Thea's easier to ignore.

I've got bad news for you.

Here's what the showrunner said about his future plan for Laurel at the end of last season.

"I think any time you do a TV show, and you've got two people together who are star-crossed lovers and they're destined to be together, but you don't want them together because you run into the "Moonlighting" problem of your two main characters, once they actually end up together, in a committed relationship, then it seems to lose all of its sexual spark. The little magic trick that we have to do with Oliver and Laurel is, keep bringing them together and pulling them apart, bringing them together and pulling them apart."

Thea can be awful, but in a bratty, kinda sexy way where you wanna show her who is boss.

Laurel just literally sucks the life out of everything around her and you can see it literally begin to whither and die.

Oh my God, we've already had our first supervillain on the show.

Sawa not charismatic? Dude is acting his ass off on Nikita right now. His transformation in the last season was great. Totally different people.

That shit is what is wrong with every damned American tv show.

Seriously. You can only do that for a short period of time.

You'd think the creators would get it at some point. No one wants to see this.
Put them together or don't, but don't tease it for years on end.

Almost ruined Castle and Chuck, and both shows got better the minute they just went ahead and did it.

People who watch Arrow but fail to recognize that it IS about Laurel-Ollie back and apart, back and apart, back and apart, ARE WEIRD! Get that shit together, son. Face reality!

This is how Matt Barr look when training. That seems good for a Flash.

I'm suddenly okay with the Flash on this show.

Not sure why Laurel gets so much hate.

She's not my favorite of the show by far, but certainly don't hate her. I'm looking forward to her kicking some ass this season.

Wow, so she's going to be exactly like Lana Lang from Smallville. God dammit I thought the Arrow showrunners were better than this, fuck that guy.

:(

That sounds terrible. I might be more accepting if I actually liked Laurel but but since I don't this really sucks.

Worked amazing for Castle,
Bones on the other hand got boring imo.

So I finally caught up to the season's final few episodes... Some quick thoughts.

-Felicity continues to be the best, most charming, most lovable character on this show.

-TOOOOMMYYYYYYY!!!!!!!! D:

-The action stuff was really well done throughout.

-Moira's "fuck you" to Merlyn was so fucking satisfying

-Thea, the Glades are about to fucking explode. STOP. WITH. THE. DRAMA. If you're going to leave, then leave, if Roy needs to stay, don't make a big fucking speech, delaying him and potentially resulting in the deaths of all the people he's trying to go save, himself included.

-Merlyn's OTHER device was a great twist. That didn't end how I expected it to.

-Fucking Laurel...

It's a super fucking cheesy show at times, but its not without its great moments. I'm not in love with it, but I certainly like it enough. Excited for Season 2.

Such a dumb self-perpetuating myth. Castle disproved that shit in prime-time network territory.
