Arrow S5 |OT| You thought you were out, but Manu Bennett pulls you back in.

#5.06 "So It Begins" Extended Promo

yoooooooo at this shot. The shot + edit of
Prometheus hitting Artemis was pretty sloppy though.

At least one person in the team is getting killed, maybe more. And the actual new series regular Vigilante isn't even in action yet.

When it comes to new team members getting kill it going to be interesting to see who they go with first .
Also ragman so OP i guess they will have to take him out when he not wearing the rags .
Unless he change sides and Oliver gets help from one of his magic buddies .

kinda don't even want Prometheus to be unmasked tbh. He's been so dope so far and I feel like all roads lead to disappointment the minute you get more in depth with these Arrow villains.

Another good episode, Olicity scenes had me worried but thank fuck they didn't push the button just yet.

That could actually be really cool. Spend the season speculating (in-universe) about who this deadly new threat could be, then finally unmask him and it turns out they were all totally off base and have no idea who this guy is. He just hates them and won't explain why.

Human Target is great. He was better here than in Jessica Jones.

You still haven't apologized for comparing Cold to Freeze

Wish they did that with Zoom...

Arrow has been so good this season. Now all we need is Olicity back and it'll be perfect.

Nah this is CW which mean stupid relationship drama if they together .
So the longer they apart the better unless CW willing to done with that trash which unlikely .
Now if you just joking lol.

EDIT still they did deal with that stuff rather okay last night .

Has Dolph Lungren entered the show yet? Gotham is the only DCU show that I watch week to week but I could do with a weekly fix of Dolph.

I can't believe that The Flash is currently the weakest DCTV show.
:(

Nah i still think flash better than LOT and SG

Yeah, Arrow and LoT is the only two superhero shows I watch 100% now.

I dropped AoS and Gotham.

AoS has been rather good this season IMO.

Not yet but it should happen soon .

For people sad about Church's death:
Dolph next week :)

See above spoiler. Also they liked him so much they're giving him more episodes.

Yeah. It's amazing how well the show has recovered. And I hope Human Target will be back, since this was very fun take on this character. Also Prometheus had so much damn swag in that last scene.

And by the way.. Constantine appeared in 5th ep of S4. They should make it a tradition to introduce characters from old tv shows on 5th episodes. Bring me Swamp Thing in S6 CW :D

No idea who Human Target is. I assume he's basically Wolverine who can heal from anything? I also thought it was Diggle who suggested they call him, but Oliver was the one that knew him from before.

Oliver didn't actually meet him, it was only revealed to the audience. Diggle knew him and apparently that one guy at the end with the reporter did too, so he must be sort of a known specialist in the military.

I don't think he healed, it was staged.

Human Target doesn't have meta powers, he's just really good at taking hits for people and surviving.

Also it's really nice to be in this thread, have it be mostly positive discussion and talk about how all the other shows are worse. After two years in hell...

It really does feel like old times with season one and two .
All we need now is some fan fiction by Wozzly and we set lol.

Comic TV shows I'm watching:

Arrow=Gotham>Legends>>>Flash, which has taken an unbelievable Arrow S3 tier nosedive. Still need to catch up on Supergirl, and I guess I'll get back into AoS, though I didn't watch a bit of S3.

I thought it was a bit of a stretch for Human Target to show up in the flashback at the end. Since it seems the only reason he was thrown in there was to give the reporter lady a link to find out about Ollie's past. I wish they could have handled her figuring it out in a less eye-rolling way.

Is it just me or should Ragman just be doing everything? Seems like he can't be hurt and no one can fight him...why do the others even bother?
Yeah, I was thinking that, too. Like last week, when Wild Dog went to fight Church, it would have been short work if they'd just had Ragman do it instead.

I'm guessing so we don't skip some character development on wild dog. With Prometheus coming maybe he can be some sort of challenge. As long they don't turn him into another archer.

So, let's speculate about Prometheus.

Discussion point: Why did they pick Prometheus?

1) Did they just pick a random DC villain? Possibly and they've done random villains with loose connections to their comic counterparts before. Still, if they weren't going to really use any part of the character, it seems unnecessary.

2) Is he actually going to be like the comic version of Prometheus? I wouldn't be surprised if they do adapt some of his tactics, especially the way he likes to go in disguise to get close to people. That "I've been in front of you the whole time" reveal is sort of a given at this point.

3) Did they use the name for the allusions to Greek mythology? Prometheus created man and gave him fire. That's a broad summation, but it does seem to fit with what they've hinted at with the character being someone from Oliver's past.

My fanfic theory is a combination of 2 + 3. The original version of Prometheus was actually a henchman for Dr. Alchemy, who we know is the main villain over on Flash. We also know that they're willing to make changes to the timeline that affect Arrow, with Sara being erased and replaced by Junior. What if Alchemy did his thing and "woke" someone from Oliver's past who was possibly dead in the original timeline? I know what you're thinking, it's Tommy. But I'm going to take a swing here and say, if it is a resurrected character it's Yao Fei, the man who "created" the Green Arrow, bringing together some of the comic elements with the broader idea of the Greek Titan.

Reason this won't happen: They have been very hesitant to interconnect the shows to this extent. While it certainly could start here, I wouldn't put money on it.

Shit, this thread has more active Agents of Shield discussion in it that the Agents of Shield thread.

Best episode this season so far. Nicely paced, good action, and badass political Ollie. I am surprised over Ollie´s being politically savvy. He´s usually clueless. I better give the credit to Thea instead.
