Great job on this. I like the energy you put in your images. The poses always have a good flow (if that makes sense). Sorry I kind of skipped a comment you made about my work last month. I think you are right about my digital work missing some of the looseness in my traditional work. I'm trying to incorporate that.

Love the watercolors Timo, good use of color as well.
Chumps, you got some good use of color as well.

Now some academic stuff

Nice job Mik, your digital painting is getting somewhere. Keep playing with mood and colors, its working.

As for myself, now for something completely different.

This is some of the work I've done for Cupcake Corner in the last few months. Decor items, food recipes, icons, etc. I probably have about 5 times the amount of shit, but its good to editorialize and only post the best ones.

No showable art, atm, but I did want to share something cool I did with my tablet. Namely, taking it apart and mounting it under my desk like so:

http://vimeo.com/24248969

This is awesome, and so much better than drawing on the tablet surface directly.

Looks really awesome indeed. I kind of expected a video that showed how you did it though :p

I explained it. Unfortunately I hadn't thought of making a video until after it was done. And at that point everything was firmly in place. Thought I could at least show a video of what I did though.

When I get bored, I doodle side-view platformer stages...

Lots of these are just too big to upload and they aren't worth resizing...

And these are too big because when I get REALLY BORED I make long chains of them stretching across multiple pages...

http://home.comcast.net/~retrogames/short2.jpg (2 pages)

http://home.comcast.net/~retrogames/long.jpg (4 pages)

... Someday, I will dig them all out and draw connections between them to make an enormous side-scroller world...

And then there's these...

That is so cool. How was working with the Wacom guts? I fantasize about taking apart and getting rid of all the stupid buttons and putting it in a smaller/thinner enclosure.

If we're talking about the Intuos4, then unfortunately you wouldn't gain much by trying to do that. The sensor board inside is just as large as the enclosure itself including the area where the buttons are located. It's also about as thin a case as you could fit the whole thing into. I doubt it would even be possible to make a thinner, smaller case than the stock one it comes in IMO :/

An etchline aquatint I’ve been working on since summer began (well, two weeks after summer began). If I had to say, it’s about me not getting laid. I’m sticking to that story.

Had some fun changing up my Ogre Battle 64 avatar to match the games I'm hyped for. :p I'm actually in the middle of making Adam Jensen from Deus Ex: HR next, but the Skyward Sword showing at E3 got me good.

Some really great artworks in this thread, great work Gaf. I've picked up drawing again recently, so here are a few simple sketches, doodling and crap, I'm trying to get back into rhythm and perhaps try to learn and apply some new things.

My weak point is anatomy, poses, composition, and most importantly: colors, I have no art background with paintings and such so it's really tough, but in general I have the same problems Nocturnowl mentioned in this thread, just don't know what to draw most of the time, and the things I have in mind don't come out right unless I have a model (or myself) posing for me.

Not my art, but I thought you all might enjoy this. It's a graffiti comic found in Guangzhou, China, supposedly drawn & designed by kids in the nearby kindergarten

I did this drawing for the RIFT contest at Deviantart. If you guys want to see a bigger image(and give my entry a bit more traffic) please click on the image.

Thanks!
I worked on it off and on for about a month. Thanks for the watch!
Funny you should mention a cintiq, I was just watching a video about it. I want to try one of those some day. I'm using an Intuos 3.
