The show will also now air one hour earlier, at 8/7c. This is a very smart move on Starz' part because it will allow them to avoid competing directly against The Walking Dead/Talking Dead, Westworld, the HBO comedies, and Showtime's slate.

A few little updates to post.

Evil Dead 2 Official Board Game

I figure I would post this here since this will be where most of the Evil Dead fans hang out. In case there are some that weren't aware, there's an official Evil Dead 2 Board Game Kickstarter that's about to end soon. The game itself seems really neat and the Kickstarter itself has been a massive success, blowing through all its stretch goals.

Shemp's Beer

Various fake promos for Shemp's Beer, including one with this season's big bad, Baal.

Director's List

A listing of all this season's episode titles including writers and directors. As I expected, Sam Raimi is nowhere to be found on the list. Thankfully the directors of the last three episodes of season 1 are back and carrying a good chuck of this season. Michael J. Bassett (who did eps 2 and 3) is also back directing another two episodes, along with another new director. Craig DiGregorio only appears to be writing the pilot while Ivan Raimi is writing an episode as well.

You can find the episode listing on the Wiki Page.

Lastly the official premiere date is Sunday October 2nd.

Those beer commercials were fantastic. The episode titles sound interesting and I can't wait for this to return. I'm surprised by how few people are actually enjoying and talking about this awesome show. Seems like something GAF would like. Maybe I'm wrong though.

Yeah, definitely backing this one. I like what they have done with the comics so far, so hopefully the game turns out pretty good.

Heads up to all you primitive screwheads out there that have been sleeping in a cave somewhere. Ash vs Evil Dead is hitting Blu-Ray and DVD tomorrow!

Also Best Buy has an exclusive steel book fancy pants set for all you collectors out there. It's a shiny and sturdy steel book set. Best Buy's top of the line! You can find this in the DVD & Blu-Ray aisle. That's right this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan New Zealand. Retails for about $29.99. It's got a steel book case, slick looking artwork, and special features. That's right, shop smart, shop "Ash" smart. You got that!

Me. Haven't watched any of the show yet because (as far as I know) Superchannel was the only legal route here in Canada and I'd sooner buy the blu-ray than subscribe to them.

Really looking forward to it.

Pre ordered mine a while back, the price was very reasonable to start and I wanted to support the show as much as I could so we keep getting seasons.

These characters have lived so much for a Evil Dead story. I wonder who will die.

Not Kelly or Ruby, please. But Pablo is awesome... :(

I just binge watched The Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, and the international cut of Army of Darkness for the first time in years; then, I watched all of season one of Ash Vs Evil Dead for the first time ever. It was a wonderful wonderful wonderful way to put up with having bronchitis and being in bed. Also, whenever I see the name Ash on neogaf I always think of Evil Dead Ash, even though pokimans is all the rage.

It's really interesting to see the franchise given the primo cable treatment with room for more plot, lore, and character development than in the past. Ash vs Evil Dead probably has the best production values too.

Cannot wait for Season 2 now. Great that Lucy Lawless seems to have a bigger role this time too.

Just waiting for my Season 1 blu-ray to arrive in the UK (had to import it, as the UK is only getting it on dvd at the moment for some reason) but gonna have an Evil Dead marathon when it arrives, before Season 2 starts.

Amazon has lowered the price of the Blu-Ray set to $23.75 for those interested:

Also someone over at the Blu-ray.com forums claims that he tried this in a Region 2 player and that it played. Some people are indicating that this set might be region free though I cannot confirm that myself.
Someone on Blu-ray.com tested the discs on two region B players and it played fine.

Region B playback confirmed on Region B Panasonic DMT-BWT450 BD player/recorder and Region B (Australian) Sony 500GB PS4. Groovy!

Wish more people were talking about this show. It's just so fun. Maybe its because it's on Starz, a channel a lot of people probably don't even know they have. Saw that they just got Star(z) War EP:7, no way that was cheap, like to think that they're going in big to compete with HBO, Netflix, and Showtime.
