Not saying they do, but if I was a lazy reviewer I would probably compile my thoughts and stuff on the game, throw it to Chat GPT and have it write a review in a certain tone. Then edit it a bit to be not so obviously AI.
Only reason I mentioned is because AI models have a tendency to use certain terms, or ways of writing, over and over.
Whilst I know these reviewers talk to each other etc, it seems weird they'd all end up using a similar title for their article, I feel like that would be something you'd want to avoid.
For sure and they do because almost every single writing program has already been doing grammer revision for 10 years.
Didnt need chat gpt even for that.
As for talking to one another. To me its something I have seen for 9 years. Even before starting. Sometimes I can tell if someone else has watched a podcast of mine or a random video because they will say something that is almost word for word and RANDOM as fuck. I am sure its just picking up data.
Though Youtube does indeed have some FAMOUS and big time names who plagiarize like fuck

Absolutely not. Rockstar is in a league of their own and if GTA 6 releases this year, and it looks good, you can bet your ass that they will sell over 10 million copies this year, maybe in a month even
GTA6 will likely sell 10 million copies in the first 24 hours

Look at how Monster Hunter Wilds did, except even bigger

Fuckin Valhalla was in the 80’s range and that fucking sucked (and that’s coming from someone who like Norse mythology and Vikings). Gaming media is fucking useless.

Most of the AC games are in the 80s range, I belive. At that point, it just comes down to personal preferences. I liked Valhalla just fine myself.

I really really wanted to like it, but just got bored halfway through. And with the Vikings tv series have such epic big battles and AC Odyssey have big battles I was expecting the game to have some seriously impressive big battles but it didn’t. Never understood that and getting rid of the loot system from the previous 2 games.

Ah.....I follow. Yeah, that would have been cool to have some epic Viking battles. The raids were fun, but not really the same thing. Been a while so I've forgotten how the loot systems differed.

They got rid of the loot system because nobody liked the borderlands loot puke from odyssey, you waste so much time in your inventory comparing which green arrow is better and dismantling because you run out of space; glad they nuked that trash with valhalla in favour of actually meaningful unique gear, good riddance and never come back, shit has no place in AC.

People tend to like a loot system in a game with weapons and a constantly evolving or levelling character. And apparently Shadows does have a 5 tier loot system. Although Odyssey was maybe more excessive than say Origins.

I wasn't as much of a fan of Valhalla but its pretty good overall now with patches. But this fucking constant "I disagree" therefor everyone but me is useless/lies/paid/sucks and makes it easy for real situations to slide by.
Case in point some whining bitches claimed against the Preview for the game(when it came out) and now the review to get them age restricted. Was expecting it(had a warning from someone in the group who saw the plan). But this shit makes people sound and look like idiots.

Eh it is what it is. They are some of the Neog champions anyway.
Low key hilarious though. Still, they probably had a lot worse bugs back when they delayed it the first time. I wonder how bad it was back then. 😬
Could not be worse than Morder day 1 for me, or Cyberpunk, or Saints Row, or GTA 5, or Spiderman 2 post release patch or Days Gone.

so i hear that Yasuke actually kind of sucks in this game?
He's clearly not the MC of the game and only there for the gameplay variety's sake and for people who hate or don't like stealth.

The's one other issue, Ubisoft games are not really all that open, great of friendly to modding, so I don't think we can expect a mod that will let us explore ancient tombs as Naoe and move big objects. They really should've stick to Naoe on this one or at leats patch in an option later to at least let her do everything what Yasuke can except combat stuff and weapons only he can use. We'll see, I won't completely rule out a possibility of this happening after release at some point.

So pc version is kinda meh? Are the official nvidia drivers out yet? Still probably gonna look and run better on my 5070ti than the pro version. I have 1 day to decide it.

Luke is compromised when it comes to Ubisoft. And I say that sadly as I’ve been subbed to him since 2017.

They flew him out to James Cameron’s studio a year or so back for the Avatar game and made him feel special, so now he gives them softball previews and reviews.

He got mad at me for calling the Avatar game a forgettable Far Cry clone. That aged well didn’t it.

Or maybe people are just reviewing a game for what it is and not trying to be political.
Maybe. But as something I find jarring that breaks my inmersion, I found It odd there was no comment at all. I dont consider this a political matter, just talking from a suspensión of disbelief standpoint.

If Ubisoft was smart, or bold... They'd drop the Open World formula and make a linear Assassins Creed game. Or wide linear, like God of War. It would sell like hotcakes. People are tired of the open world bloat fests

Assassins Creed character action game would be fucking sick.
You’re essentially asking for 3D Prince of Persia…and I agree we should get a new 3D PoP.

Just watched the DF video and if I have to nitpick, the enemies animations have some huge uncanny valley feel to me. You hit them with your sword and they just stand there. You walk past them and they continue to face into the other direction, sword raised, before turning around to you. You can see it in the first minutes of the video already.

This just feels so .. last gen. Are there games that do that better? Where enemies actually react to the impact of your weapon? Keep focused on you? Or am I overthinking this.

The best review-like video has been this because it told me how it feels to play the game and sadly it’s still a somewhat clunky experience of all but more importantly it feels like yet another reskin - no innovation, just a secondary character that oddly sticks out in the crowd.

The romance options, lmao.

Yasuke fucks Nobunaga’s sister. Like his actual lord’s sister. And someone that identifies as they/them.

That dude was wild.
Wow... It's 2025 and Nagamasa still taking the L.

Also... Damn! AC Shadows Oichi is ugly:

She was supposed to be quite pretty.

For comparison sake, Oichi in Nioh 2, Samurai Warriors and Sengoku Basara:

In terms of playing them, every Ubisoft game has been the same for over 20 years

That's unfair. I'd say up until around 2012 they took a lot of creative risks and it's no coincidence that Far Cry and Assassin's Creed were at their best before that.

I think Far Cry 3 is where they worked out this formula for open world games and started copy pasting it into everything they put out after that.

The cookie cutter style has also ruined the writing. The characters in the Ezio games for instance had a lot of personality. Not to mention the story was actually about assassins, in contrast something like Odyssey is not an AC game, it's just generic history simulator.

In fairness romance options in games more often than not are pretty bad and cringe, this isn't exclusive to this game.

The romances in any AC game are cringe and horribly written, like most 90% of dialogue in Ubisoft games.

Nothing new there to be mindblowing about.

No wonder i have that grifter blocked.

The grifters are doing fulltime work to drum up some last minute release hate!

Looks like Ubi will be doing quite a few changes with the day 1 patch that's coming tomorrow:

Ubisoft has revealed changes that will be implemented in Assassin’s Creed: Shadows as soon as it releases on March 20.

The day one patch will make tables and shelving located in in-game shrines indestructible and will reduce non-essential depictions of bloodshed taking place in shrines and temples. In addition, when attacking unarmed NPCs, there will no longer be depictions of blood.

What the hell? How am I supposed to defile a shrine if I cant bust up the furniture and spill the blood of the innocent?

Another classic Ubi bait and switch.

What an absolute idiot and immoral moron will be killing unarmed civilians in towns?
I've been playing games 30 years and never have I tried to do something like that in a videogame, not even GTA. The only game that I can think off that forced you to do it its MW2 in that famous mission in the airport but yeah, for me removing this it's fine, I dont need it in this type of game

Oh great. Thanks grifters for making the game actually worse. You fucking donkeyheads.

So you wont see blood on ANY npc anymore if its a civilian?

Jesus Christ.

That's all well and good for you, some of us like to have sex with prostitutes and then shoot them as they're walking away and take back the money.

And then after that I like to go home and unwind with a video game.
