Is the patch even live for PS5 yet? Version 1.53 is the current one shown, and that came out ages ago.

Edit: goes live tomorrow.

Where is my RDR2 patch?
It’s coming……

After GTA6 and for a full £70

On topic, I’ve never played this but still haven’t finished origins. I play it for about 5 hours every year in hope of platinuming one day. I’m pretty close. It’s just so……..boring.

It looks quite nice but is sterile. I can’t see me jumping in to this but I always applaud any free patch especially when it gives 60fps so this is good news.

IMO, Syndicate is the weakest AC game post Ezio trilogy. Unity launched in a dumpster fire state, but a fully patched up Unity is a much better and more ambitious game than Syndicate. Parts of Unity also look visually better than Syndicate (reflections, crowd densities and some texture work in key areas)
Ehh id take it over the incredibly tedious Valhalla

Does that read like PS5 OG is 1080p/60 only?

The way they bullet pointed is weird.
Two modes? :pie_thinking:
Revisit the Assassin fantasy and take down your enemies more smoothly than ever on Assassin's Creed Syndicate's free 60 FPS patch. Roam London's streets in a whole new light and elevate your gaming experience with doubled framerate on Xbox Series X|S, PS5® and PS5® Pro
In addition, take a leap into a visually stunning experience thanks to 4K resolution on Xbox Series X, PS5® and PS5® Pro.

Patch notes:
Xbox (~31.8 GB)

Xbox Series X
4K resolution at 60 fps
Xbox Series S
1080p resolution at 60 fps

PlayStation (~0.75 GB)

PS5 and PS5 Pro
1080p resolution at 60 fps
4K resolution at 60 fps

Awesome. Loved Syndicate. Downloading...

Really... before Unity and Black Flag.

I loved both Unity and Syndicate, but looks to me like they are going backwards and patching most recent first:

2018 - Assassin's Creed Odyssey
2017 - Assassin's Creed Origins
2015 - Assassin's Creed Syndicate
2014 - Assassin's Creed Unity
2014 - Assassin's Creed Rogue
2013 - Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag

Worth playing for the beautiful recreation of Victorian London alone imo, story and characters are pretty forgettable.
Yep, I like the game just for the scenery. Mind you I played it on PC, but I think I have an Xbox physical somewhere as well. It was like $8.

Damn, I am in, really enjoyed this one back in the day and I haven't played the Baba Yaga DLC

Lord of Edge.
After watching Gladiator II, I really hope Ubisoft go back to the world of AC Oddesey at some point. Really love that setting.

Imagine getting a totally free surprise patch to a almost 10 year old game that now runs in 4K and 60fps, and people are still complaining?

That's the definition of sad.

I haven't played this game because it was 30fps but I will now. London is beautifully recreated and if you ignore all the bloat in AC games, they're still a very fun ride.

And it's included in PS+.

This is the most underrated AC imo, it flew under everyone's radar and people just kinda didn't care after the debacle that was Unity's launch. It also didn't help that fatigue was really setting in at that point. But the game itself is actually pretty fun and traversing London was cool, I remember thinking how lively the city felt. Though I do find it odd how they took 9 years for this patch to come out. The hell? Better late than never I guess.

It had some excellent options as far as assassinations. Something that never returned to Origins, Ofyssey Or Valhalla

Needs to be a perfect locked 4K/60 fps on PS5 Pro otherwise the game will stutter as the PS5/PS5 Pro do not support VRR with backward compatible PS4 games, unlike the Xbox Series X|S which has much better VRR support all-round, including support for Xbox One games.

Good to see Ubisoft still patching their older games though to unlock framerates and resolutions.

I mean, it should run perfectly all things considered. it's not a heavy game by any means.
I could play it at 1440p and 60fps on my old PC, which was maybe slightly more powerful than a One X (although of course a vastly superior CPU, but that goes without saying)

If they are patching the game for PS5 then it isn't a BC game anymore, is it?

Syndicate was the first real warning sign that AC was spent. If you take all the annoying missing in AC games and zoom in on them, you have AC Syndicate.

It's weird what reactions some games get isn't it. I remember everyone crying about the batman grappling hook and turning their nose up at it.

Great game, only complaint being the requirement to stop the gangs attacking you on sight.

I don't think they will make a PS5 ver, just patching the PS4 ver, so it's still BC, no?

Edit: for example i know Origins was patched with 60fps, but it's not a PS5 rls, just PS4 ver patched.

Ah....ok. So I guess if it is still in PS4 mode then VRR won't be enabled. That's too bad.

I don’t care what people say, this is the best Assassin’s Creed game out there. It’s just a shame Unity killed all interest for it.

Great map, Victorian London was an amazing setting, likeable protagonists with a decent story and good gameplay.

May jump back in for a replay now.

I think think there are more Syndicate fans out there than you realize. Unity is a great game in its own right, but honestly I enjoyed Syndicate for how it changed things up a bit. That grappling hook was awesome.
