Assassin's Creed Valhalla Xbox GAMEPLAY

TBH I'm not surprised that a female character in Viking culture has these masculinity appearance or animations. In history, femininity is not treated well among Vikings regardless of gender.

People kept bitching about old school AC, saying that it was the same thing over and over, are probably VERY happy now, huh?

Before Origins, the franchise evolved naturally: AC1>AC2; AC Rev>AC3; AC3>AC4:BF> Unity were very smooth transitions. But after Origins, every game is the same Witcher clone over and over and over again, same animations, same sounds, same structure, same fucking drone bird, same bandit camps.

There was way more evolution in the old AC's than now.

Even the jump AC2>>Brotherhood feels like a worthier improvement.

You didn't miss anything, it was a compressed looking 1080p stream that appeared to be running the original xbox one version.

He could have added: Odin will send the day one patch in a lightning bolt to optimize the textures and make the animations more pleasant...

You don't know anything yet so making guesses either is just stupid and misinformed.
No a guess is not stupid if you can properly outline how you came up with it.
As AC Valhalla will probably not have an unlocked framerate on Xbone, not even as an option, just like every single previous AC except Unity (lmao), I assume this is the native Series X version running as it's 60fps.
If you think that is incorrect or there is anything that suggests I may be mistaken feel free to educate me.

IMO it doesnt look bad? Im happy its 60fpsand it looked great with that.
That female Elvor is still ugly tho. Wish Ubi wouldnt pander to the snowflakes

I never claimed I knew? So since we dont know we should just assume its an unlocked frame rate on Xbone and XOX even though theres only been one AC game this gen thats had an unlocked frame rate? Asking questions isn't stupid. Chill out.

Well said Harry P my man.

Pre release code not having a framerate cap makes a lot of sense, so that Devs can get more accurate performance metrics.

I'm sorry, but who here is even able to answer those kind of questions exactly?

Hopefully, both this video and the OP were the XOX version of the game running, because it looks pretty bad for a nextgen title. Kinda hard to believe PS5 can't run this at 4K60 tbh.

Perhaps the person playing the game? Perhaps the OP follows them on twitter?

Someone else answered the question that Tom Warren said patches were not available til launch which I wasn't aware of. Perhaps there was a frame rate mode that people weren't aware of. There are many scenarios to where information could be passed around. I simply asked the question instead of assuming I knew everything and that this game didn't have a performance mode on last gen.

Either way, no need to be a dick about it.

I think all companies need to start showing stuff as leaks and poor quality content will take its place anyway.

Its a week away and some people will already have nabbed boxes at home.

Applies to Microsoft and Sony.

It's definitely the Xbox One version running in BC mode

Strange how this is step back from the previous games graphically even on current gen. Looks like something that should have came out before Unity.

So next Gen updates/versions won´t be available until Launch, and therefore proper reviews are coming only days after the release because all they can review before that is this not so nice looking version (trying to be as polite as possible) of the game?

Review the PC/Xbox One/PS4 version

Review the SXIS/PS5 version the next week

OK let's hope for the best then. I'm all for better quality on the full version as long as that 60 target stands.
But then again most reviewers are tech illiterate retards sadly and I would never take their statements as gospel.

Reminder, as with the unofficial Watch Dogs Legions gameplay on Series X, the next gen patch for this game is unavailable until launch so this is simply playing the One X version in BC mode

Looks like a solid 60fps interestingly, though

Isn't this XSX footage, why would it be running in BC mode for any reason

Several cross gen games, including Watch Dogs Legion and AC Valhalla, have day one patches with next gen improvements.

So the disc (or digital download) is the same whether you're on One X or Series X, but only the Series X gets the next gen upgrade. In the case of WD Legion it adds Ray Tracing and improves many settings, alongside increasing resolution to 4k. We don't know what the next gen patch for AC:V will do, but presumably it'll look better.

Actual XSX gameplay

This is a terrible article that never cites anything for Valhalla and never provides a single thing that points to it not being native. I have no idea if it will but this is a terrible, terrible piece of clickbait that only a troll or fanboy would post without reading.
