Q: Where does this rank in terms of simulation?
A: Above GT and Forza and the track-based Codemaster games. It is up there somewhere with the other big sim racing names like iRacing and rFactor 2 or at least very close. Kunos also make a "Assetto Corsa Pro"-version that is used by manufacturers like Ferrari und Porsche for simulations.

you can set the time the tire squeal sets in. The default is too early in my opinion and gives you the impression of tire lock when they are still rolling.

Playstation Lifestyle 5/10
Assetto Corsa may succeed as a simulation, but it fails as a game. Clearly a ton of work has gone into making sure the cars handle correctly and that the tracks are as realistic as possible, which just makes the end result even more heartrending. It has a terrible user interface, isn’t fun to play and doesn’t feature any of the helpful tools that make Forza such an appealing game.

USGamer 4.5/5
Assetto Corsa is a great-looking, excellent-sounding, meticulously crafted simulation that offers a very realistic racing experience. Its authenticity does come at a cost, however - it's very difficult to drive well, and requires a considerable investment of your time to get the most out of it. However, if you're a hardcore racing enthusiast who loves a challenge, Assetto Corsa is one of the best driving sims available.
ACG Video review - Deep deep sale
Eurogamer Italia - 8/10
n the area of console, various Forza and GT remain unreachable for methods and content, especially the slopes and also Project Cars confirms aesthetically more finished although not as stable as in frame rate. But if the house you have a next-generation console and a force feedback steering wheel worthy of the name, there is no doubt. The simulative depth of Assetto Corsa is unrivaled car park and is still the ideal choice for riders who want to discover the living room from a virtual drive and are ready to invest some of their time to get over an initial period of apprenticeship that reward you with great satisfaction in the medium and long term.
Digitalspy - 3.5/5
Try not to be put off by the horrendously challenging career mode. While Assetto Corsa's unforgiving hardcore style won't be for everyone, the actual driving is absolutely brilliant.
Turn the driving aids down or shift to Factory settings and you'll find a simulation of weight, grip and momentum to equal – if not surpass – Forza, Gran Turismo and Project Cars, and while you won't find the extensive track or vehicle lists you'll find in the bigger games, there's no disputing the quality of the selection.
This isn't a casual gamer's sim-style racer, but if you're looking for a more authentic driving sim Assetto Corsa might just win your heart.
Trusted Reviews - 3.5/5
Assetto Corsa has its share of problems. It can’t compete with Forza, Gran Turismo or Project Cars when it comes to looks, cars or tracks. The career mode is tedious and often frustrating, and the presentation makes it feel even nerdier and less accessible than it is. Yet the core driving experience remains magnificent, with some of the best handling and most immersive racing around. This isn’t a racer for everyone – it’s tough, demanding and a bit too hardcore – but if you want a sim with thrills and authenticity, it’s well worth taking for a spin.

Pushsquare - 5/10
Assetto Corsa is a frustrating drive with a punishing learning curve that never truly pays you back for your time investment. It fails to provide an effective way to learn its complicated intricacies and lacks features that a game of its ilk requires. It's also simultaneously the best and worst presented racing game of the past few years, with superbly detailed cars and tracks hampered by awful long-distance scenery and ugly roadside textures. Ultimately, this is a disappointment that lacks the heart required to truly celebrate the cars it has so lovingly recreated.
Digitally Downloaded - 4.5/5
Really the appeal of Assetto Corsa is in taking control of Lamborghinis and Ferraris and racing around tracks that are really beautiful for high precision cars that have good acceleration built into them. It’s far more focused on what it does well than many other racing games, and unfortunately the overall package suffers a little as a consequence, but I just can’t get over how much I accelerating out of corners in this one.
