having no checkpoints in those killed the fun for me. So I stopped so I can keep thinking it’s a 10/10 game lolThese sound like they will fuck me up before I've even got to them.

But they are super short, they are optional challenge levels.having no checkpoints in those killed the fun for me. So I stopped so I can keep thinking it’s a 10/10 game lol
They really arent that bad. Just got the platinum trophy at 17h. None of the symbol stages took more than 20 minutes of retries.Finished it. Loved it. 10/10
But fuck those challenge levels. Gave up on those.
Astro Bot game director interviewed in the Friends Per Second podcast (timestamped to the interview):
He can fly, he can climb, he can box, he can swing, he can dive, he can spin through sand... I'd say the moveset is pretty darn diverse.I'm not seeing a single addition to the already limited moveset he had in the first game! This is why i think the game will disappoint. We'll be one shot punching and doing that little water hover attack to kill enemies throughout the game it seems....
Yeah! I screwed around in it for about an hour and a half. I finished it by accident and was happy just to go through again! Its amazing innit?
It's pretty similar to Kirby. Yes, you have to redo it.I’m so confused with these lost galaxy levels. They just pull you out of your level and to complete the level you were on you have to completely redo them?
It's pretty similar to Kirby. Yes, you have to redo it.
Cry me a riverIt's my only minor gripe with the game so far.
Not a major dealbreaker but an odd choice for sure. It would be so much better if it just unlocked the level and let you continue with the one you were already on. Odd choice. It's pretty similar to Kirby. Yes, you have to redo it.
I think Super Mario World is the same also if I remember correctly. Been a few decades. It's strange, but kind of a throwback to platformers. But yeah, Kirby still does this on new games. In Mario World it makes sense since you're carving out new paths on the map. They're kind of going for that I guess. Not a major dealbreaker but an odd choice for sure. It would be so much better if it just unlocked the level and let you continue with the one you were already on. Odd choice.
Cry me a river
Brutal one that was. Yet knowing what lies ahead if you want to 100%..Finally beat splashing sprint after 50 deaths or so….shiiiiit
The levels are like one minute long.having no checkpoints in those killed the fun for me. So I stopped so I can keep thinking it’s a 10/10 game lol
We need to discuss the fact that almost all of the themed levels are unironically far more enjoyable than the games they are paying tribute to.
Yep.Nope, they’re cool homages but they’re my least favorite levels in the game
All the games they tribute are fun to play, so not sure what you’re on about
Is the Minecraft reference the block characters that are from 3D Dot Game Heroes on PS3?Not only it pays tribute to Classic games attached to Sony in some way, but it also references in some way games like Minecraft and Pikmin it is wonderful.
I’m playing this game like I play most platfomers, I will not move on to the next stage until I get EVERYTHING on current stage.Beat the Cameleon Boss and did all the stuff to reveal the last galaxy area. I've missed a bunch of bots and puzzle pieces along the way. I stopped doing the Face Button challenges for now. I'll give them a go last.
There is indeed a Camera Mode that gets unlocked if you get enough puzzle pieces.
At the rate I'm going all be playing this for the rest of the month trying to get everything.
Thats hardcore. I don't mind going back and getting missed stuff later. I want to see all the new stuff now.I’m playing this game like I play most platfomers, I will not move on to the next stage until I get EVERYTHING on current stage.
