Mine was taking the picture of Drake bot and Lara bot together. Getting the game to acknowledge that yes they are both in the goddamn frame and getting the trophy to pop was like pulling teeth

I’m nearing the end of the second world and I just can’t fucking shake that this game feels like the most pristine cleanest hospital ever created. Like it’s so polished I can still smell the paint and bleach on the walls. And in a way it’s a real turn off, which sucks because I’m fucking beyond well aware of how solid it is as a game.

I think the trick is they have to converse, if you get them next to each other they start chatting, that's how I did it lol

What I did was waiting till Lara was semi close to drake bot while being chased by the dino, hit her and press triangle. That calls all the bot towards you. Kept an eye on drake while bots gathered and easily pushed him next to Lara. Took one clear photo and the trophy popped.

Oh I thought that was pretty easy once I figured I had to call all the bots over to where Astro was... once I saw Lara in the background where Drake was, I made the call. Prior to calling the bots over, I was trying to pull up the camera when I would see the T-Rex chasing Lara in the background and that wasn't working.

Oh, didn't know they would actually show them having a conversation. I simply called the bots over to Astro and once I saw the two in the same frame, I took the picture and the trophy popped.

I finally conquered Splashing Sprint just now.

I loved every minute of it. I don’t usually trophy hunt but I got the platinum. The final challenge level gave me the hardest time of any level. I’ll definitely return for the DLC.

One gripe I have is that I wish there were more base costumes. We got all those bot characters from Sony IP and third parties but we did not get most of their costumes! I also wish we had a dedicated dash move standard for Astro, aside from the backpack abilities that certain levels used. I think it would’ve helped some levels and situations.

Overall it’s one of the best games I’ve played in a long time. I hope the devs make more games like this. It was charming and delightful, and controlled really damn well for the most part.

Edited for typing stuffs since I’m doing this on my phone at work haha

welp finally beat it today. I'll slowly finish getting the puzzle pieces and the remaining like 25 characters later next week. The plan now is to play some db sparking.

I'd give this game around an 8 to an 8.5. The game was polished and solid but felt lacking. I guess the feeling is safe and unambitious.

I already use a shortcut to get 34.1

This DLC is a joke, first try I unlock both bots in like 40 secs. I have no desire to try to improve my time, so i guess all I have to look forward to is 40 secs every week.

Came to say this. This is one of my favorite games of the year and love team asobi. Its also super cool the dlc is free but this just seems a little half assed. Haven't played Astro in probably 2 or 3 weeks so figured I would be just a little rusty. Got both bots unlocked on the first try. Personally would rather they just release all of the levels at once. Me booting this up every week to play a sub 1 min level is just odd.

I believe the second bot is 50 seconds... they could have made it 40 but I don't think they would go any lower than that.

I can't quite put my finger on it, because even though it's as creative as any Mario game especially the level where you can shrink, it still felt weirdly generic. I don't know if it's just the random alien bad guy. I think they need to make a more cohesive world for their next game.

What you have is a blatant Mario bias shame on you

In all seriousness, the Mario Series has had so much time to perfect their 3D games, Mario was currently on his what 7th 8th Main Line 3D game.
This had alot of rough edges, but there was NOTHING like it at the time

Nintendo EAD is phenomenal when it comes to polish and I think that's why a lot of people are so impressed by Astro because that same level of Polish appears to be there

I've gotten it down 32 seconds. I believe the part I could shave off at least 2 seconds is the last part of the trial with the spinning beams. So i'll try to work on that. I want to at least be in the top 1000 but that's going to be more difficult every day that more people play so i'll settle for top 10 on my friends list lol.

The level design was flawless imo, but I agree with you that it needs a more cohesive world, instead of just references to PlayStation. Word building and Lore would be a start, with text dialogue, kinda like what Mario does

swapping R2 with R1 in the system settings makes the boost feel way better to control.
