Atomic Heart Gamescom 2022 Trailer

Stopped the trailer half way, felt like I was seeing too much of the game.

Wasn't overly interested in this but I am now with all the bioshock references.

All is good, I went on searching for stuff, about this whole situation and they seems to be against genocide, which is good.

It's from their community manager
Thanks but, why bother? They make videogames, they aren't politicians.

I hope the game doesn't get bombed upon release by the press because of political reasons that have nothing to do with the devs, that would be a sad thing to witness.

Ty otherwise I wouldn't know what to do with my morals. *Chainsaws hooker in GTa to get his money back*

Given the situation where is now Ukraine mirrors where we were in 1968, I do care quite a lot actually for this kind of stuff. You don't have to obviously.

Sure, to each their own. I'm glad you are fine with this game's situation btw, hope we all get to enjoy it.

You know, at least in my mind, when the invasions is supported by like 86% of people, this shit matters. From my perspective. just putting it out here, because there is a lot of people active in the thread about the invasion. So there is some cross over with this thread. That's all, I am not saying anything for the people who just want to play it.

Word of the day is:

Alright name a company and I'm sure you'll find an employee with opposing morals. Think hard enough and you will never buy anything. Why stop?

How many things you are actually buying from Russia? Like directly, not fuel that you will get at your local pump. It matters to me that they denounce it and I understand that for majority of world these things are meaningless.

china has camps, companies employ secret racists in any country. My point is if you dig deep enough you will find a reason to not buy something. So then why stop just live off the earth.

You are correct, I am not going to pretend, that I am doing something virtuos. I am just saying, that I don't want to financially support people who supports genocide in Ukraine. Just out of the situation, because similar stuff happened to us as a country in 1968 and my ancestors, suffered greatly because of that. I hope that it's now more clear, why I care.

The initial story trailer seems to be heavy on the critique of Soviet Russia, I kinda imagined they wouldn't be down with the ukraine invasion.

I have a friend who recently shared his invite-only testing 20h gameplay experience within NDA frames.

Sorry for grammar, I google translated it

• After spending 20 hours in Atomic Heart, I will post a small review within the framework (I am not allowed to say much - for obvious reasons) • First of all, I would like to say that each of us is an individual and those who do not like Bioshock, Metro or Stalker - let's say it is not for you. • Whatever your taste - the fact is that "Atomic Heart" is twice as much as you expect ------ * Open World locations * ✅ • Open World locations in the game are quite diverse - beautiful and unique. None of the locations are copied and mindlessly assembled - every detail feels like a hand-crafted environment. You will meet Soviet villages and settlements, you will meet modern skyscrapers and also the architecture of the futuristic environment - every house or institution (building) is decorated with its own graffiti and qualitative architecture. (for example: Lenin, Stalin and Beria assembled in a mosaic) The map is not the level of RDR 2, but it is filled with many interesting events, and in addition to the surface, you will meet four large underground laboratories where you will find: crazy story missions, looting, side quests, boss fights and countless puzzles (really, I can't remember the last time I solved so many puzzles in which game). There was, I think I still have a lot left) In addition, there is also a flying location, there is no surface or underground, there is a flying location where a city is built and the headquarters of the founder of the program is located in this city. (Sechenov). On the map you can use a car and a subway hanging in the air. The underwater location and the port are also functional. The character does not swim (*knows*) 😋. There are also special places with boss fights, as well as quite high mountains and forests planted on them, where you will meet a lot of wild creatures. * story * ✅ • Wow, I didn't think anyone could do and post something like this - especially since it's a Russian game 😃 It's a complicated plot, you have to go through the game twice in any case, otherwise there's no chance you won't understand it - even the smallest details are important and at the end of the game you have to make a decision that you've gone through compared to the previous game. It will be a shock. The main character not only runs around the location, but - with the help of microchips, you travel in a strong thing called "limbi" (what is limbi? You'll see it during the game) - and with what you can, you can also take yourself out into space 😉 . You can hire a helper in the game (programmatically download the robot), but after some time he will still try to kill you, so it's better to walk alone and be smart 🥱. * Craft, cluster system (i.e. weapon modification) and collective 2.0. • I will start with the collective 2.0 - the collective is a system that unites all the robots that are in the location - they monitor your movement and transmit all the information to each other. In the region where the larger You will spend time being caught by cameras or flying robots - then the duty will be strengthened in that region. When you kill a robot, its chip and system are still recoverable, so in a few hours, another flying robot will take it and repair it, so you literally get rid of them temporarily - if you kill them completely, what should you do? You have to find the base of the flying robots (they have a bee-like design but are rounder) and hack their system - then physically destroy them. After that, they cannot restore any robots in that region. (It's easy to talk, but it took me a long time to hack their servers and then fix them physically :D) • Crafting - you craft everything you need, but you have to find materials for it - you have to explore all the locations as much as possible to find many valuable things. • Casetnik - it is a very cool modification system, you need to get resources, but instead you can put everything you want on the weapons. It's a diverse and cool thing 🍓. There are a total of 35 weapons in the game (including an automatic and a simple ax) • RPG elements are quite present in the game and pure Souls-like combat is heavy (in a good way) and very balanced, you feel every blow you give to your opponent. The opponent reacts to every blow - his vest or iron gets damaged or moves - his hand, eye, even some part, and everything inside is visible. The arrangement of each robot is visible from the inside, how it is programmed, all are individually assembled and when you damage them with weapons or combat, all the details are visible (as well as the weak point where it shuts down after being hit). The main genre of the game is still action story telling or even immersive sim. • Nvidia Ray tracing - has • Nvidia dlss 2.1 - has • It will be on Geforce now. • Engine - Unreal engine 4.
