Attack of the Show!/G4 attempts to mock the Grauman's EpIII line. Fails horribly.

We need a bunch of hilarious DAMAGE CONTROL pictures so that G4 can look like ASSES on television for the second day in a row!

Why, because G4 sucks? Because G4 has taken everything that was TechTV and torn it apart, leaving nothing but a shell of the old channel behind, and I'm pointing this fact out to one of the hosts on this shitty channel?

If I have to quit the internet because I tell someone he works for a shitty channel, and everyone pretty much agrees that the channel is shitty, maybe we should all quit.

Or maybe you should shut the hell up about it.
 
Graumann's is a great theater. There's a nice burger joint right across the street too and a mall area next door in the Kodak Theater complex, so its not a bad place to hang out.

Even at 3 AM that section of Hollywood Blvd. is buzzing and they don't ever "close" the Kodak Theater AFAIK, you can walk right on through.
 
Bah, maybe I'm just a jaded viewer, but I think Wayne's World has set the bar incredibly high for any 2nd rate cable TV show.

Probably been mentioned but whatever. This is the dude who got us a shoutout from Mizuguchi right? Why are people being such a dick to him still? I think that was a cool gesture and he was just clarifying the situation in this thread. Don't see the big deal.
 
I think the points we can all take from this are:

1) GAF will get pwned on G4 next week... look for those nudes Olimario took to appear on AotS and embarass us all.

2) This just really whets my appetite for when Triumph gets the Ok from Conan to go to this line and start wreaking havoc again. This would be the worlds greatest travesty if he couldn't go.

and you guys should lay off kpalmarienaonekaionaqqbubz or whatever his name is... at least he's out on the net trying to guage what people think of his show and take back some actual feedback to G4, hopefully, and adjust the show accordingly. What more do you all want?

Actually, don't answer that... cuz most of you would probably prefer that he goes and blows up a set on air with an RPG GTA-style. But give the guy some credit for trying to get an ear for what people think...

I did find it amusing to see AOtS doing a feature on Suicide Girls the other day. Whatever kid fires up that site is going to be in for a surprise. :lol

I have an actual question about content on your show, because to be honest I like a good chunk of your show (but some of the skit type stuff is kinda dumb)...

You were interviewing one of the guys from Valve and showing off the new level and the new HDR effects added to the entire game.. and talked about them like it was this really awesome new thing, and compared them to Doom 3's engine. Why didnt you mention that FarCry 1.3 had HDR effects in it for the better part of 6 months? Seems like you should give some credit to the guys who got it out the door before Half Life 2.
 
Eh, I kind of like the show. I realize it's trendy to bash G4 these days, and I've even partaked in said bashing now and then, but the new name reflects what TSS was pretty much changing into anyways. Perhaps now people can stop whining about how they're ruining TSS, it being dead and all. It's a little bit of hit-or-miss humor mixed with technology and web stories and its entertaining enough to catch as a I grab something to eat before my 7PM TV/Internet-binge-a-thon. The two Kevins make decent hosts (glad they finally realized that) and Sarah is pretty cute in all her utterly energetic shortness. We'll see where the show goes.

Also, where did Chi-Lan magically dissapear to? :lol

i dunno but im glad shes gone.

AOTS needs an audience though, the set doesnt seem as lively as it used to.

I 'dunno. I thought the show was kinda weird when they did the little live audience test period. Maybe they could just have this wall of TVs where people with webcams can participate as a virtual audience - really make the censors earn their keep. Think of the webcam whore free advertising potential!

From the little I've seen of G4, I'd have to question whether there's even a nerd among them. Seems more like a bunch of people pretending to know something about video games and about what real fans might be interested in.
 
The only reason I clicked on this thread was out of curiosity on how a thread like this got so big. I am glad I did :lol

And III looks better than I and II.
 
G4 and TechTV were doing fine on their own, but some how, they combined to make a serious shitstorm of programming. They did some things right (Got a new host for "Cheat!"), some things wrong (Didn't cancel "Cheat!", among a bunch of other things). A gaming network has potential, but this is pretty bad. Most of us here could come up with a few better shows (No GAF.com! OMGLOLWTF crap, some of us seriously could) so at the very least, their crappier shows wouldn't have to rerun the entire week.

No, G4 certainly has its share of nerds there. The giant-sized NES controller, among other things, is a sure sign of that.

I just think that they're being pulled in two directions.

One: To make shows about video games, which they are qualified through knowledge and passion to do.

Two: To make cool, hip TV, which is something that's very hard to accomplish because trying too hard to be cool and hip just makes you look not-at-all cool and hip.

Intersting Sidenote: Defamer, arguably one of the meaner and caddier sites on the web, handled the Star Wars line-up story with kid gloves. Defamer on Star Wars Lineup.
