UGH....Rey Rey. I would have like Adamle to make Y2J the substitute, telling HBK that he is the boss and he is the one who makes the matches. And that he's under doctors orders to retire and he won't allow him to compete.

Then Y2J could win the scramble and HBK could enter the rumble as a masked wrestler and won a shot against Y2J at Mania making this storyline even better.

HBK's walk/run would give him away right away.

Of course it would be obvious, but it would still be entertaining. Besides, Owen pulled the Blue Blazer off for awhile without the majority knowing. HBK could wear a lucha libre suit and have an exaggerated walk.

Damn, Kane plays the psychotic monster role a little too well. Really, though, that was a dumb way to end RAW. Where did batista get the ability to magically spring up and walk normally after having his knee bashed in? This is a little silly, though, now Rey/Kane/Batista is the main feud going into Unforgiven. It's like they refuse to give CM Punk any real spotlight.

See Batista? That's how to sell an injury.

God I hate Batista. I mean for me it's Cena-level hate. He can't even time his ring entrance pyro correctly. Or do a convincing spinebuster. He gets chair shotted against the pole then is miraculously well enough to do a standing front kick to Kane's face?

Stupid.

TNA has an openning to strike now. Cena is down and they can sign Foley pretty quickly. Throw in Double J and they have a chance to gain another .5 long term I think.

This assumes they book better and write better as well....................lol

Yeah, I was kind of baffled during the ending of Batista/Kane as well. Kane spends the whole match working on Batista's knee, slams it with a chair around the ringpost, Batista is selling it well, and then all of a sudden, Batista hops back up, nails a spear, and acts like nothing happened with his knee. :/

I wonder will Rey have a new gimmick at Unforgiven?

His old one was one of the more overused ever, so it would be a good chance to see something new. I guess WWE could go the unmasked route, and pretend with all their might it was the first time it ever happened...

Rey ruined his career once already, he doesn't need to do it again.

Probably not until after the game hits the streets.

An official statement regarding Mick Foley's departure from WWE will be released after September 1, 2008 from Gillespie Agency. Reports have been circulating on the internet that Foley will sign with TNA. According to a source, TNA has begun working on t-shirt and merchandise ideas for Mick Foley. This further indicates him signing with TNA.

If Foley does sign with the company, they’re handling the matter similar to when Kurt Angle was signed. Dixie Carter and her small circle were the only ones to know of the signing

Looks like it's official:

Mick Foley has agreed to terms with TNA and will debut as soon as he is contractually free to do so. His WWE contract expires within days.

Foley's TNA deal was worked out with help from Spike TV, which may have subsidized the contract. He may end up being involved in other Spike TV projects.

Foley was dropped from WWE storylines once WWE learned that he was unhappy and likely not renewing his deal and instead interested in signing with TNA.

While there's been a lot of buzz about Foley in the locker room among wrestlers, the management team had been quiet about it and perhaps largely out of the loop, but were hopeful Dixie Carter was getting the deal done.

Keller's Analysis: This is a great addition for TNA, although how Foley is utilized remains to be seen. Jim Ross wrote in his blog that he hopes Foley doesn't wrestle for TNA much if at all because of his physical condition after years of being rough on his body. Foley has indicated he's not interested in the full time booking job. As an on-air commentator or commissioner he could add some star power and talent to TNA Impact each week.

So now that it's official, let's speculate how Foley will be used.....

My guess, he'll be Cornette's replacement as Commish.
They'll play it up that Cornette has been letting the talent run wild for some time now and letting matches get out of hand with wrestlers abusing ref, etc.

I can't see Foley in a wrestling role at this point. Although if he wanted to, he could with TNA's light schedule.

It's really fast and you don't ever have to 'press any button repeatedly'. It's a refreshing change from Smackdown Vs Raw. Good controls, it's nice being able to run around, the counters are cool - easy to do and look amazing. I'm off to go play it :) Bye!

Heh the one thing print media has over online, we get games before them. (except of course by the time the mag's out the online reviews are already up :( )

And don't call me mother fucker, cunty balls.

Which magazine you work for? And how do you compare this game to other wrestling games of the past.

Nash's contract with TNA expires in October and he's been telling people that he could return to WWE as a bodyguard for Shawn Michaels. The suspicion is that he is leery of TNA creative jobbing him out before his current deal expires.

Interesting.

This sucks....
The guy's a legend and a legendary trainier as well. He's the man who trained Triple H as well as many others...
