So on Sunday, I was really hungry, and was kinda over having the usual that I'd get for lunch (Maccas, HJs, KFC, whatever), so I thought I'd try something different.

Turns out that wasn't a good idea :lol It being called the Ark Burger (http://www.thisiswhyyourefat.com/?p=553684294), it had a juicy beef patty, tender scotch fillet steak, roasted chicken, chicken schnitzel, bacon, egg and cheese on crisp lettuce, tomato and beetroot. Oh and by the looks of it: there's double of it.

This thing costed $15 alone. Oh my god. It was massive.

I nearly died. I only made 3/4 of it... also, I'm underweight. Should explain why I couldn't finish it.

The fastest was said to be 5min 45sec in the store itself... and was done by a cop :lol

Hmm... I'm not expecting the best for this upcoming R rating discussion on Sunrise. Kochie just said something along the lines of "Coming up, the high violence video games our kids are playing."

Also, I applaud him for supporting Movember, but that thing is a joke.

OK, the Sunrise discussion was short, but not bad. Seamus did quite well and Damien from the Australian Family Association on the negative side listened to the arguments and actually agreed and compromised on several points. Kochie and Mel seem to be on the side for the R18+ rating and they even reached a near consensus.

It wouldn't surprise me if the crappy intro for the segment was written to lure the mums who need something to ruin their kids lives with. Kochie was probably just reading off a teleprompter.

Actually, it made sense in context. They triggered the discussion with the fact that COD: Black Ops is rated 18+ elsewhere in the world but it managed to just scrape through with an MA15+ rating here. Everybody agreed that 15-year-olds shouldn't be playing Black Ops and I certainly agree with that too.

Part of the near-consensus towards the end was that we should have an R18+ rating and as long as we have that rating, then the other ratings need to be made a little more strict.

Twitter sez that Seamus did a top job on Sunrise. I guess the cards were stacked in his favour- he was up against someone from Family First.

I look forward to watching it.

Haha.

Personally I just let the whole lot grow until the wife cracks the shits and tells me to shave it off. :lol It is an on-going ritual.

That looks like two burgers, both of gargantuan size.

Speaking of burgers, having Grill'd hand out 2 for 1 vouchers in West End had me trying them again but I stand behind my claim of Burger Urge being better. Grill'd burgers are great but for BrisGAF dudes who happen to be in West End or New Farm, give Burger Urge a shot. I highly recommend their chilli-cheese or satay burgers.

Deadly Premonition won't be released in Australia

I'd also be careful importing it - I'm not sure if it's legal to import unrated material?

I'll also mention it's fucking amazing but also really fuckin weird. So yeah. Keep that in mind and don't expect something at all conventional!

Oh, and finally, if you do buy it, for the love of god, COMPLETE THE GEORGE SIDE QUESTS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! You will thank me!

Just purchased it now. You know, like I didn't have enough games to play already.

Well that didn't take long.

The goaty argument yesterday in steam chat pushed me over the edge. A weird ass horror game has to be in my list if it ends up being good.

I would eat that burger if it meant I died in my sleep peacefully the next night, and not screaming in pain clenching my chest 2 hours later

That's a good point. If they never submitted it for review, it can't be blocked entry under the refused classification argument, unless it contains clearly objectionable content like child pornography.

The other guy (Damien Tudehope) wasn't from Family First. He was from the Australian Family Association. Both speakers spoke well and listened to the other's points and the discussion was quite informative, although very short. We need more of this sort of discussion and I'm happy that both sides exceeded my expectations.

If I didn't have a million things on my plate, I'd totally be picking up one of those stupid bullshit Kinect retardfests on Thursday.

I bought a copy several months ago and it's still somewhere in an un-open box. Now that this thread has reminded me about it, I will definitely get into it after my exams.

Unfortunately I don't believe this is true.

Possible. I mean we haven't had any real confirmation that choc actually works in the industry yet. It's why i believe he is a crazy person who really works in a warehouse wishing he worked in the industry.

My image of Choc now fluctuates between business man wearing a suit, talking into a mobile phone as he walks quickly down the city streets or a dude working in a factory with a big beard, sitting around drinking beer every lunch break with his mates, taking off his goggles and hard hat at the end of each day as he clocks off, a look of glee in his eyes as he thinks of what stories to regale us each day.

Either way, I like Choc.

I may be the only person in Australia buying it, but Splatter House comes out next week too.

I always see this guy walk past me in the city while I wait for the bus home. He's short, slightly overweight, and is always either looking at his iphone, ipad or pda/ereader. He also wears a pokewalker on his belt next to his iphone leather pouch. In my mind, he is choc.:lol

cheers man,
Python is what other internet peeps are recommending. I prefer to just jump in the deep end and drown though haha. The Amazon reviews for that book are a little worrying but I think I'll jump on it anyway! Got xcode last night, will start with 'hello world' tonight if I get a chance.

My friend lent me Dead Rising 2 on PS3 on the weekend, I'm not very far but I am fucking loving it! Considering a PC purchase (cheaper). Also borrowed the megadrive collection and infamous.

Shaneus - do you still have one of those metal backs for the iPhone? I'd love to buy one off you if so.

Went to accountant this morning, not only did I not pay last year's tax, I've overpaid this year's by nearly $1,800. I could never be an accountant haha.

He gets promo games somehow.

New theory:

Choc is actually 14 years old. His Dad is the head of EA marketing in Australia, and Choc takes on his persona online to tell stories and give out free games.

We’re exploring a Diablo-related concept for consoles and are currently looking to fill a few senior console-related positions on the Diablo III team. As we’ve said in the past, with proper care the gameplay could suit the console platform, and we’re interested in seeing what talent out there might be interested in such a project. If you’re passionate about all things Diablo and have the requisite skill and experience, then head over to our jobs site to check out the positions and apply.

Please note that this is not an announcement of a console title. We are first and foremost developing Diablo III for Windows and Mac PCs and don’t intend to allow any possibility of a console interpretation to delay or affect the release of the game.

This is what tabloid shows always do. They make something sound much more awful than it is by bringing in dangers to YOUR CHILDREN somehow.

Favourite phrases of these shows:
- x that puts your kids in danger
- x that y doesn't want you to know
- we put x to the test, the results will shock you
etc.

Ack, that Diablo news page led me to the announcement of the US version of PoP Trilogy. So it's going to be download only... Now I don't know whether to cancel my existing order for the UK disc version and wait for the digital releases or to just go with the disc version.

If it's anything like GoW, there'll be special exclusives to earn by getting the game digitally on Playstation Plus too... It's a tough decision.

Yeah, I'm aware of that, and I was scared as it made it seem like it would be one of those types of discussions where the questions are loaded and the conclusion has already been decided before the interview. I'm glad to see my fears did not eventuate.

Why a 5850? Just a random question ;)
Currently have a 5830 overclocked, find it's *just* not cutting it in some games. I'll be on 60fps most of the time, but once shit heats up it'll stutter enough to be distracting. A 5850 by all accounts shits all over it and can be had for $240.

Why the wink? Something you're not telling me? ;)

I was thinking the same, but they're $250ish now. That's not too bad. Could probably save $30 or so and get a GTX460 1GB for similar performance I guess.

D1 on PS1 was alright from memory...
Yeah, I reckon D3 would be fine on consoles. I've been saying for years that they'd do it. Crazy not to. Since it will be a late port it won't affect the PC version.
