Omi, if you need to summon your pals and you're on PC, you can bring up console and type in something like [npc entity] moveto.player (I don't remember the exact command. Check the Fallout 3 wikia)

It saved me when my companions disappeared after going into Mr. House's building (as they were no longer at the front of the casino...)

Alternatively you can teleport to their location and see where they really are.

Yah, I think that is where they went walkabouts. I think I will try the Vault 22 thing first as I actually have to go there for a couple quests anyway!

So while working on burning a school's end of year CDs, I pulled an image of all the stuff they wanted.

LPLUd.png

I accidentally set it so the disc would be named the same as the image.

Oops.

Linking a CC to a paypal account is an extremely dangerous minefield. PayPal aren't a bank and aren't beholden to all those rules and regulations, and... Just do a google search. It's not a good idea to leave a CC linked to your paypal account. Ever.

It's probably worse to have your bank account linked, as Paypal can make withdrawals without any confirmation or hold money in your Paypal account indefinitely without allowing you to withdraw it. Dealing with Paypal at all is risky but at least with a credit card you have the added barrier of the credit card company, who will do just about anything you ask them to. Paypal claims you waive your rights to consumer credit card protection by using their service but this is probably bunk and I don't think your credit card provider is going to give a shit what Paypal puts in their ToS. Sure it might have Paypal closing your account and generally hating but if you ring up Visa/Mastercard/whatever and ask them to reverse a transaction that Paypal won't (with at least some justification) they probably will.

I had to do that to get back a few companions. The command is:
prid [companion ref id]
moveto player

You can find the ref id here: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout:_New_Vegas_companions but spoilers abound, so beware.

I picked an England series victory.

Hopefully the selectors make the necessary changes for the next Test. Otherwise we're stuffed. Johnson needs to go ASAP.

What can they do though? Ferguson for North, Bollinger if fit for Johnson, but I doubt either of those changes would have given us nine more wickets today.

I'd actually go Bollinger for Johnson, Smith for North.

I think having a wrist spinner at Adelaide will be important. Smith might go for a few runs but I think on a receptive pitch he can bag some wickets. Plus, he's a better batter than North anyway so we're not losing anything there.

I bought the latest King's Bounty game on Steam last night for 5 USD. I've only played the first one for about five minutes and will probably never have enough time to finish it, let alone either of the sequels but whatever, it was five dollars.

Speaking of PC gaming, is there some recent mandate for PC-GAF to spread the Lord's word or whatever the fuck has been happening on the Gaming forum for the last while, or have I just not noticed it until now?

The greatness of PC gaming is just getting too good to ignore.

Personally I don't think it has changed all that much really in the last few years, it just seems a lot more people are jumping on the wagon after a hell of a lot of hate that has been directed towards the PC.

I think it's changed a fair bit.

PSX emulation and Wii emulation are now amazingly good. Steam and Steamworks have further unified the platform and we've had some massive exclusives announced and released (SC2, D3)

It's been going on for a while. The owner of this site is a PC fanboy so it's kinda encouraged too.

"Kinda" doesn't really describe it. There seems to be more threads/threads-filled-with-posts of this nature recently than say, this time last year (assuming my memory is accurate) and it does seem to be that every one has mods in it leading the charge.

I haven't even installed King's Bounty although I was considering getting the latest one but didn't. I figured if I ever do end up playing and finishing them, I'm sure I can pay a bit extra later on.

Enthusiast gaming hardware is in a bit of a lull at the moment so the PC naturally fills the void for the time being. In six months there will be more 3ds and psphone threads and probably some psp2 action and the pc will be on the back burner again for a while.

It's also mad fun because as a PC owner, I am justified by the constant consolite degrading!

And as a multi-console owner, I can remain smug in thinking man what fuckin elitist assholes PC gamers are!

Clearly, your avatar proves which side you are on, you elitist, degraded asshole.

Well, the Minecraft one at least. I forgot you rotate it, but there's still a bias in the rotation, so there. :D

Can someone explain to me why Steam is downloading so slow? From a megabyte per second to only ~75 kb per seconds...

Disgusting ham sandwich is in the rotation too!
Fixed.

Mum put ham and Kraft cheese sandwiches in my school lunchbox every single day for the better part of a decade. It traumatised me and these days I can't so much as look at ham without feeling just a little bit like throwing up.

Bacon, pork and sausages, on the other hand, are delicious. Also, I like priscuitto.

I'm with you there. Most pork products = delicious victory, but most ham just makes me feel ill.

Me too, ham sandwiches every day for 12 years.

You don't like it enough to spell it correctly, though (prosciutto).

Ham is amazing, in all its forms. Especially Christmas leg ham off the bone.

Also, why didn't you ask your Mum for something else? Both my primary school and high school years were spent alternating between near-daily ham and cheese (real cheese, not that crappy 'plastic' stuff), and Vegemite sandwiches (with the occasional tuckshop visit for a meat pie, sausage roll or bacon and cheese roll). Whenever I started to tire of one sandwich type, I'd let my Dad know to switch over to the other for a while. So awesome :D.

haha I was gonna fix your spelling but Clipper beat me to it (meat nerd hi five)
I worked in a supermarket deli for >7 years, I am vegetarian, it was not ideal

I had vegemite on toast for breakfast, vegemite sandwich for lunch and vegemite jaffles for dinner nearly every day for about a decade. I fucking love vegemite. I have it 3/4 days a week for lunch (in sandwiches).

Hey. I worked in a supermarket where they spelled cantaloupe 'cannaloop'. Give him a break.
Hmm, it did turn out a bit harsh. I meant to have a smiley there to show I didn't mean any harm, but got carried away with my Vegemite discussion and forgot. 'Cannaloop' is hilarious, though :lol.

Sounds like we're both happy little Vegemites then! I love some Vegemite on toast with margarine in the morning.

Incidentally, what's your opinion on Cheesybite? I can't stand the stuff. I even have a half-finished bottle of "Name Me" still in the fridge that I can't bring myself to finish. I can't believe Kraft's idea to make the product more marketable was to make it look even more like crap (literally) than it already did, and make it taste and temporarily sound (iSnack 2.0) like crap too :p.

Vegemite fanboyism FTW!

I've never had that shit, no need to mess with the perfect spread lol

To be fair, I was spelling it off the top of my head based on what it sounds like and how I'd spell that in Italian. I don't think I've ever had to write it down before.

And yeah, Mum did alternate between the horrific ham and cheese of doom and other stuff, but it's the ham and cheese that haunts my nightmares, so it felt like I had it every day.

It was only in year 11 and 12 when I asked her to stop packing me sandwiches and just give me leftovers from dinner that the hurting stopped.

So my sister and I have worked out what we're going to on our Europe trip. Anyone who's been, let me know how it sounds:

- Fly into Paris for 3/4 days
- Take the train to London for 4 days (I know this sounds backwards, but we have to do this to time it with our cousins wedding in London)
- Fly to Prague for 2/3 days
- Overnight train from Prague to Munich, spend 4/5 days in Bavaria
- Fly from Munich to Geneva, spend two days there
- Train from Geneva to Marseille
- Spend the next week driving from Marseille and end up in Bologna (it's 680km between those two, so that should be pretty easy in a week).
- Train from Bologna to Rome
- Spend a day in Rome, then fly back to Sydney

Any suggestions?

Second month running where we've had ~15GB of quota left over at the end of the month.

I'm considering downloading TV shows we don't even like and selling burnt DVD's to street kids.
