The thing I find amusing in those threads is that most of the posters are PC gamers arguing with each other about why it isn't dead.

I'm actually about to head home now... I think the guys here are sick of the dry retching sounds coming from the bathroom. I could have stayed home if I wanted to, but I've been at my place of work for about 7 years now and I feel kinda responsible for everything.

Haha yeah... there are very, very few console-only players posting in that thread in particular.

I couldn't really give a crap if people think its dying and/or not. I get enough games that keep me both entertained and interested year on year such that I barely touch consoles. And that is enough for me. :)

So I just bought a bunch of DLC via xbox.com to get the 800 points back from that promotion (by spending 2400). Bought Overlord and Shadow Broker for ME2, Witch Hunt for Dragon Age and Undead Nightmare for RDR.

Also, I just ordered a 3000 points card from Fishpond. If you use the code "gamers" it brings the price down to just under $35 delivered, which is about $15 cheaper than normal.

Mario Wii, Mario DSi XL, 25th Anniversary Mario All-Stars, the lot.

And yes, I will purchase promptly.

Now we just need a date.

November 11 for the Wii's, November 4th for the DSi bundles.

No date on the Collection, no confirmation yet of that either (though really they're just kidding themselves).

Downloaded the demo last night, my Gold membership is really paying off. Only took like 3 hours to get it.

Normally I can get a gig in like no t ime.

I normally find XBL stuff really quick to download as well, so it must utilise most of my connections bandwidth. Plus it's unmetered on iiNet so I download a lot of junk only to delete it a week later.

Will see how that demo goes tonight when I get home.

Like I said, EB buyer confirmed the Collection. It's coming. I assume it'll be with the rest, or a bit after.

I noticed you seem to have enjoyed it. Although the comment about the tracks feeling dull reminded me of BPs world design, where there was no excitement in where you were driving.

Hopefully it's up on PSN tonight and i can try and download it. Being on an older firmware might make that impossible, hopefully not.

I might try the NFS demo as well. I think my last NFS game was either hot pursuit 1 or 2. Either way, it's been a long ass time since I've played one. But I do remember hot pursuit being awesome back in the day.

B&N FINALLY shipped my keyboard.

I'm resigned to knowing I won't get it by the weekend. But hopefully it should come on Monday and I'll have a coupe of work free days to dive into it.

Hopefully Vanquish will get here by the end of the week to keep me busy.

At that price i might be tempted to pick it up. While i know there's a lot of love for the movies and i do remember enjoying them as a kid. I did find it hard to watch a few years back for some reason. So part of me wants to buy it because it's back to the future but i have no idea if i would actually watch and enjoy it.

Edit: Says it's not available. Does that mean sold out or just not available? I might have to head down to my local to see if they sell them there in-store.

It got the chop, I had one ordered and they cancelled it. Faulty Deloreons unfit to sell or something.
