Need some food recommendations for Sydney.

Go!
There's a place that has a poutine burger. Can't remember the name and I didn't actually order that specific burger, but the place itself was pretty decent.

Didn't really hold a candle to Melbourne burger joints though. Apparently the place to go is... Newtown?

Does anyone know if xbox one game codes are region/account locked?
Got a code for The Division that I have absolutely no use for.

Pretty sure they are all region free, I've never come across one that was region locked. It's a lot easier to buy stuff from other parts of the world digitally on Xbox than Playstation, most of the time you just change the URL and it will let you grab it with your main account no issue.

I want to play Inside but I promised myself I'd finish the DOOM campaign first.

I just keep playing H5 assault playlist instead
I should articulate why I think Inside is a GOTY contender. It's phenomenally well designed, the puzzles do challenge you- at least they challenged a mental midget such as myself, plus there's action requiring reflexes. It's also put together insanely well and polished to the nth degree. It's not a game you could call janky in any way.

And that ending section. Its disturbing in places, on a pre Star Wars 70s sci fi movie kind of way. Audio and visual design are fantastic. I also love how it doesn't keep rehashing the same 2 or three mechanics over and over without introducing new elements.
It's probably going to take you between 3 and 6 hours to play so it's not a huge commitment either and eminently possible to play through in a day.

but ever so delicious
I'd be using it every day if we had one. It's pretty trivial to make a bot for it too. Someone post an invite

There's an idea that I would like to ditch steam community chat and move to discord, But since discord doesn't have any overlays for gaming it kinda defeats the purpose.

As for why people don't use discord, Well we have IRC <> Steam community chat bot interaction, Adding a third option just doesn't make any sense.

Maybe once discord gets an overlay and improves in a few ways, I can finally try to move the chat from steam's shitty community servers.

Thanks.

Went to bar Luca and they had a poutine burger which was great.

what are you looking for tho?

Cheap and tasty.

Food.

In Sydney.

Preferably good, I'm guessing.

Three from three.

Not expensive enough!

I go to Spicy Lips on George Street every time I go up. I like that spicy foods.

Spicy foods are the worst.

I'd replace IRC with Discord tbh. I have discord and steam open all the time.

Go!

Oooohohoho. I love this topic. There's some really fantastic restaurants in Sydney. If you're looking to spend some money ($100+), I'd recommend Cho Cho San (my absolute favourite
+ I used to work there too which was v fun
), Sokyo (definitely not just a glitzy sushi bar, it's honestly amazing
also used to work here
), The Apollo, Nomad, ACME, Firedoor, Bills, Toko, and it's sister restaurant Tokonoma.

If you're looking for something more casual and don't want to spend as much money, I definitely recommend places like Ippudo (the ramen is so good, lawd), Sushi Hotaru (almost every sushi plate is $3.30 and it's such great quality), Edition Coffee Roasters, Mary's, Miss Chu, Bar Luca, Salaryman, Zeus Street Greek, and Ribs & Burgers.

And if you're interested, there's a lot of really awesome bars to check out in Sydney like PS40, The Barber Shop (cool place with a functioning barber shop facade with a sneaky lil door that leads to a bar — they specialise in gin!), Button Bar, Mojo's Record Bar, Goros, and of course, Frankies Pizza. For something fun to do, I highly suggest starting off with a few drinks/dinner somewhere in Chinatown, then going to the City Amusements arcade in the shopping centre next to it, then heading off to any of the bars I mentioned, and ending your night at either Goros or Frankies. Good time guaranteed.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head at the moment, but do PM me if you're wanting more info about anything in Sydney!

Last time I was in Sydney I hit up Sushi Hotaru and it was fucking great. For that style of sushi (sushi train + a-la-carte) is that one of the better places in Sydney or can I do better for that kind of place? Fast sushi is my preference to upmarket, restaurant-style sushi.

I will make you eat many chillis!

Never!

Thanks, but there are far better beaches in qld.

That's the place! Neither the missus nor I were game enough to try that, nor the pancake burger. Food in general was pretty decent though. Wound up having a Melbourne beer too, ha.

I also had Melbourne beer as they had a special going.
