AusGAF 5/5 - Everything's Amazing and Nobody's Happy, a rental at best

but ever so delicious
For some reason the wireless dongle for the TV won't connect to the network (gateway error) but the bluray player has no issues. Even with a static IP address it still complains.

Stupid LG and their bad wireless dongles.

Did you turn it off and on Cookie? Updated the TV's firmware? Updated the router/modem firmware? Firmware gives me the shits.

Joke wasn't funny Shaneus. Sorry. Check out this thread though!

Destroy that shit, Darklord.

When you're an old married man, a decision not to will likely haunt you for the rest of your days.

Sasha Grey speaks the truth. Although it is someone you work with. If you don't value your job go for it. If you DO want to keep your job and don't want to put up with a possible crazy woman making your life hell then maybe do some wet work first to see if things will go smoothly.

Didn't work out great for me last time. Thankfully it was just a shitty pizza job.

Yea changing the wireless security to WPA from WPA2 seems to have fixed it. Although it doesn't seem to really offer anything anyway. I couldn't get it to view plex media server and it's contents, I thought medialink via the LG tv supported plex but it seems like you need the specific app within the TV for it.

The TV doesn't seem to support much audio, Can't stream any 1080p bluray rips to it. The bluray player has no issues though, So that's a little odd.

I've had to ditch plex and move back to ps3mediaserver since it's DLNA.

its hilarious how vehement the labor hacks are reacting to Kevin Rudd despite him being literally their only hope to salvage any remotely competitive position in the next election.

We knew it one year ago....and its even more stark now.

That has been one of my main concerns with fancy new TV's with everything built in, that it wouldn't support what I wanted to use it for any way. My 50 inch plasma is getting outdate, 1365 X 768 resolution and only one of the HDMI ports works now, but I wouldn't use the 3D and the PS3/360 handle playing media files no problem. Eventually I will probably link the PC to my gaming TV any way so playback isn't as big a concern as my mind makes it out to be.

There's a few things the bluray player has issues with. For some reason it hard locks up 38 seconds into casino royale, Won't play back to the future part 1 at all and so on. I haven't found every single issue but there's certainly some out there.

The best option is still something like XBMC on a small box connected to the tv via hdmi that can stream your movies across. You should then be able to play anything you want, within reason anyway.

I'm just messing around with the parents tv. I doubt they would even go through the tv and movies that I have. But hey, I get to watch fringe on the big screen on saturday nights as long as they go out for dinner :D

Not that anyone really cares, but I found a folder on my computer last night with a buncha unfinished flash animations / games I made back in highschool. They're all universally terrible, but here ya go.

I kinda miss animating stuff.

I even have issues trying to play DVD's on my computer sometimes. VLC would lock up about 12 minutes into the new Enter Shikari DVD but WMP runs it fine. Shit is annoying and makes me just want to download a high quality rip of it so I know it will work 100%. Pirates win again.

So it is the opposite of your childhood where your Dad would give you $5 to go to the movies so they could have the house to themselves!

What a fantastic day in Melbourne today.

Spent the morning browsing IKEA and spending money (not the best thing in the world :p), but then spent a lazy lunch and afternoon at Abbotsford Convent, sitting in the sun, drinking some cider and listening to the jazz band. Nice.

It's overcast as shit now in Geelong. Still hot as buggery, but it just looks like it'll be an average evening. Possible rain even? At least it was a good day to use the clothesline for the first time in years, after it had been ambushed by overgrown trees.

The trees are no more, btw.

Time from a break from video games, can't be bothered, but KoA:R and Mass Effect 3 are coming out and I was excited for them a few months ago. To cancel or not to cancel, that is the question.

Drinking beer suggested by cods while eating rosemary & roast onion Grain Wave knockoffs endorsed by reptile. It's an AusGAF-themed afternoon.

Hey, has anyone bought the Double Fine Action Theater? Is it worth it if I'm really only playing it by myself?

His time in office may be forgotten among those running the Liberal National Party's state campaign, but former Queensland premier Rob Borbidge does not appear to be bitter about his omission from history.

Recent LNP media releases and public statements regularly include references to the "20-year-old Labor government", despite the fact Labor has only been in power since 1998.

I think ME3 is the last thing I'm interested in for a while, and even that is really pushing it. I'm currently playing some of my steam games. Just Cause 2 is the most dumbarse obnoxious game I've played in a while, and it's really quite fun.

fried rice is going okaaaaaaaaaay

I cooked a curry thing last night with some rice and it was incredibly disappointing. I fucked it up somehow. It didn't taste bad, but bland with an unappetising texture.

Tonight I'm cooking tuna patties.
