Even using Xbox Live Gold I still have to pay for DLC which is otherwise free (e.g. L4D2).
I have to pay for Xbox Live Gold in order to be eligible for discounts and sales.
I can't use any online functionality on any game without Xbox Live Gold (e.g. Dark Souls bloodstains... I think).
I can't use apps requiring third party subscriptions (e.g. Foxtel, Netflix, WOW) without Xbox Live Gold.
I still see ads after paying for Xbox Live Gold.

Fuck Xbox Live Gold.

Went to Dreamworld today, lots to see and do. Saw lots of drunk schoolies with a lot more flesh and high fives than I expected on Cavill considering it was raining answer lightning.

What's there good to do around Cavill Av? We don't really have wheels so anything around there would be swish

I dunno if Infinity is something we can go to because I get migraines because my eyes can't keep up with that sort of thing. :( I get migraines and headaches from eye illusions

I know, it's the biggest insult ever served upon a console and people paid $50 a year for it. Want to use services that you already pay for? $50. Want to use a web browser? $50. It's a shame that Sony are now forcing people to pay for multiplayer services, too. It was probably always going to happen, considering the amount of revenue it made Microsoft, but still. At least the free games make it more palatable.

It has to be a card from the same region. A US card won't work on an AU account.

These codes were only valid until a few days after PAX btw.

NFS looking good but no split screen puts me off. Will probably get AC4 too.

Ghosts and BF4 look pathetic, so many issues. BF4 mp is apparently still in beta.

I didn't mind the ending. Genoras bit seemed a bit forced tho (I mean she went from book nerd to demi god in like 7 eps) but I didn't mindit, nice big fight. What in particular did you not like? The whole giant spirit korra thing?

Or were you sad bowlin and Audrey plaza didn't stay together. I know I was.

Target/KMart should be $578 too, they advertised that price for a while now.

Expect the same prices for PS4 games too! Big W have had that price point for a while now.

Although the only game I would buy is Dead Rising 3 :/









Co-incidentally I'm in a town that has a Big W next weekend so I could actually pick up a Xbone and games lol

Yeah, the big spirit fight just kind of felt like a rehash of the previous fight, but my main beef was with the spirit connection to the other avatars being lost forever thing. I was pretty sad about bolin, but I guess it's for the best. Ending on a high note rather than forcing out the jokes:(

I had a quick play of BF4 on PS4. I think ill be fine with this for a bit. It looks fantastic and runs very smoothly. And more importantly, do have people spawning behind you like a certain other game. I lasted barely week before deleting Ghosts. Usually, I'd be playing it for between 1-3 months.

Resogun is going to scratch some peoples itches- namely gazunta and shaneus, but i wont bother with it any more.
Contrast is way more interesting, if rough. Will definitely play a bit more of this.
ACIV runs nice, though ill wait till its pacthed before i put much more time into it.
Lego marvel - bought more for fun than graphics- looks like a super high res version of whats on wii u. But then i got lego starwars as my launch title with my ps3 years ao so there's precendent.

I spent more time doing the wind Temple on WW HD today.

Watching a bluray. The PS4 needs a media remote, stat. Using the controller when watching a movie is so 2001. Havent tried the phone app yet.

Also- i need a bigger tv. Whats a good 50" sony or samsung ATM. Black Friday is coming so this is gonna be gud.

Ps those xbox prices are pretty pretty good. I would have bought one at that price if i was still in Australia.

Nope, they've moved to Ballarat. Just brewing now, too. The provedore was sold.

The guy has, IMO, been upping his game a bit in the past six months. If you can get hold of any of his gruit series ("Gruit", "Gruiter", "Gruitest") grab one. The recently-released Sabre Tooth is also great.

Yeah, it was the Sabre Tooth. A pretty damned good IIPA I think. I've recently had some well-known US ones (Stone Ruination IPA, Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA) and I think it's better balanced than both of those.

So...with some PS4 doa issues I'll admit its got me thinking about cancelling my preorder and waiting till january or so till I feel the issues are resolved. But its also got me wondering what JB Hifi (they have my preorder) return policies are like if I decide to let it roll and I do get a faulty console. Simple? or would they just tell me to go and talk to sony myself?
