THOUSANDS of schoolchildren are being forced to sing an alternate version of the Australian national anthem that installs "Christ" as the country's head of state and removes any reference to the Southern Cross.
In a move that outraged parents' groups have labelled "disrespectful", some 50 Christian schools of mixed denominations have replaced the second verse of Advance Australia Fair with the lyrics, which begin, "With Christ our head and cornerstone, we'll build our nation's might", for school assembly renditions.
Actually Microsoft is pretty good at keeping up to date with all the bloody random changes to daylight savings. The problem is you often have (or at least in the past you did) to get a separate patch when they change the start or finish dates.midonnay said:so does microsoft (even though WA rejected it years ago)
so fucking annoying.... that one day of the year when you don't realise your clock is messing with you.
I think I am getting nothing day one, most of my purchases will be through ozgameshop I think. The only things I think I will have by the end of the year are Skyrim, SR3, and maybe Rage.RandomVince said:So, games.
With a damn big end of year coming up again, what is it that ausgaf people are getting? I'm personally going for fewer games as I still have DEHR and Xenoblade to get through.
As far as the big (console/PC) releases go, I'm probably only getting Zelda. Might wait on UC3 and get it second hand if it has an online pass. Will see how Rage reviews because it looks like Oddworld Stranger in good ways.
The Witcher 2 2.0 is holding my attention until street date thankfully.remz said:I want Dark Souls so badly. Someone break street date.
Gigantic dumptrucks full of money deposited at their doorsteps. They don't give a fuck about what is right and wrong, only how to hold onto their trophy wives now that they are old and fat.midonnay said:wow, just seeing on Insiders, NRL commentators bagging the pokies legislation during halftime.... wtf is wrong with these ppl?
RAGE looks amazing and I will hopefully be able to hold out until I build my new PC next week.RandomVince said:With a damn big end of year coming up again, what is it that ausgaf people are getting?
Mario 3DS, Mario Kart 7, Uncharted 3, Skyrim, Battlefield or MW3, Zelda, and maybe a JP Vita depending on if I have enough money for food.RandomVince said:So, games.

Since July 2011, when Internode became Australia's first broadband provider to announce its NBN prices, NBNCo has made significant revisions to its Concentrating Virtual Circuit (CVC) pricing model that address major cost overheads previously present during the ramp-up period of the NBN commercial rollout.
These changes, along with other significant improvements negotiated by Internode in its underlying supply economics since July, have enabled Internode to offer its customers a range of great new retail plans to launch the commercial phase of the NBN.

Stages 3 and 4 of the NBN rollout in my town are expected to be completed by the end of the year, and I expect to be included in one of those rollouts. Which is good, cos it took me ten minutes to get that image uploaded to imgur just now >:/

I don't think I'm going to be getting any Day One's. If I do, it will be Batman. That's a big if, though.RandomVince said:With a damn big end of year coming up again, what is it that ausgaf people are getting? I'm personally going for fewer games as I still have DEHR and Xenoblade to get through.
