Some pretty cool shit this episode. But then again, fuck. It's happening again.

I could be wrong, but she kinda looks like Miyu from Fate Kaleid. So, who is this cutie pie:
A oddly better directed and animated episode than previous. Felt less slow to my relief.
Big Fight in Bleach usually awesome tho, I don't think any fight at OP anime animated better than Grimmjow and Ulqiorra fight at Bleach or Hidan fight in Naruto

Oh my god. Shirobako so good, even the parodies are A+++. I totally want a 'real' Shirobako now. You have sexual harassment, no sleep, no showers for a week, crying, and true despair.
It's funny talking to animators about Shirobako as they felt it was too 'light'. I wonder how close then this episode was to reality.
Everything about this episode was so good from the different artstyles, the reaction faces, Hackadoll #1's sanity slowly breaking down, and #4 jumping out a window. Also you totally know that whichever animator that drew the hardcore production assistant in this, was pulling from real life.
Soma ep. 20-END
Ok, so when does S2 air? That was great. I mean super great. There was no shipping involved either, but for waifu wars it's definitely Megumi > Erina. No need from tsundere crap when you got perfect wife material right there. I wonder if this turns into a harem in the manga, because it is so borderline already, lol. I'm glad they kept the focus on his mission though, but I bet the love part comes later because of what his father said in the first couple episides about cooking and love. Definitely want more father/son backstory as well.. Show was excellent!

Soma has at most two girls (Erina and Megumi)
Yeah Meat exists but who fuckin cares about Meat? She's a non contender
Heavy Object Episodes 3-4
Heavy Object is dumb. Boy is it dumb.
But it's kinda dumb fun.
It hasn't been announced even. From what I recalled the anime flopped hard in terms of disc sales, but it is a popular manga so it will continue on.
As for the manga, it hasn't turned into a harem as yet. I don't really expect it to given the kind of manga it is. Of course Soma hasn't even discovered girls yet from what I've seen.
On the waifu wars thing, well I'll just say I consider Megumi to be the Onodera of the piece (though I'm on the other side this time for some reason).
Kinda a bummer that it hasn't sold well. When watching you get a Barakamon kinda feel of inspiration at times when watching it.
That is the best way to describe it.

Yes, Onodera is a great comparison. They are both perfect wife material. Haruna as well.. That's my type if anything, lol. I married a tsundere chick and can say easily that it gets old.
I like Food Wars, but this comparison offends me!
Food Wars is funny and has funny character interactions. Barakamon is goddamn charming and lovable and I just want to hug everybody in that show.
How dare you!
Honestly I find Soma enjoyable but comparing it to Barakamon is a joke because the former has unnecessary fan service while the latter is a child friendly series. In no way did I get a sensation of heartwarming inspiration from Soma because to me it was cheesy entertainment unlike Barakamon which was more grounded and realistic in its setting and character depiction.
Ok, let's clarify what I said here. The animes as a whole are uncomparible.. However, at times both have very inspirational moments and themes like the episode when Soma'sMaybe it's just too easy for me to block out the fanservice at times, but I agree with you both on the whole; they are two totally different recommendations and themes.father comessage to visit the dorm
Serviceable ep with solid execution hampered by both Tremors and Stardust Crusaders handling the core concept far better.
Really went into this one expecting to dislike this one given the heat it's caught in here over the years (or at least I think it has.) Honestly, I might have if I had watched it sooner but instead I felt like I was treated to this sort of unappreciated gem. Animation was of ridiculous quality especially in the scenes that were fully in motion without any still background. I found myself rewinding and pausing to go through that sort of thing far more than I'd care to admit. I did maintain some reservation throughout though as things just sort of happened without much real cause, characters just sort of coming and going throughout the movie, and Fujimoto feeling more like an activist Miyazaki expy more than an actual character. Part of this perception was definitely colored by that Oshii quote that'd always been bandied about in here. You know, this one:
Now whether this was just me being inattentive or people purposefully leaving out the rest of it, I found something more of that quote that helped me internally reconcile just how I felt about the movie."That movie doesnt have any theme and structure. It is just the result from Miya-san's delusion. There is no inevitability in the story development. For example, why does Risa take such a risk coming back home from Himawari-no-ie in the storm? After she comes home, she again returns to Himawari-no-ie. She could have stayed with Sosuke. There is no reason in her behavior.
Audiences never accept a story that does not show any rationality. Still, every single scene was interesting. The first 10 minutes are amazing. That jellyfish scene is really fantastic. The reason why we can somehow watch the movie till the end is just because of its excellent expressiveness during every single scene."
I'm a big fan of the whole "getting the band back together" sort of eps in anime and this no exception. Final scam was so awesome.
Man, Bud caught a raw fucking deal in this one. All this burning revenge in the hearts of man up in this.
Everyone's together and it's time for REVENGE. Honestly, the ep is kinda dumb and contrived in its premise what with Salamander being such a pro wrestling nerd but who the fuck cares? The payoff in this one was off the charts and scrubbed away the episode's earlier sins with one shot.
All in all, a good end that doesn't live up to the highpoints of earlier in the series when Crystal Boy was this fearful thing or when rugball was just being perfect because fuck you, it can be. Ending reveal was kinda goofy too and set up in the worst way.
For those that believe in the "fun things are fun" mantra, this is that show. Yeah, there's a couple times where things get super real but otherwise it's this lighthearted adventure that's never overly complicated. Very little in gray areas as the bad guys are bad, the women are strong and sexy, and Cobra is just Cobra. It's easy to kick back and just enjoy the ride because you know Cobra's going to pull through as is typical of someone starring in something that has such pulp roots. Knowing he'll win doesn't matter though because you want to see just how he does and how much shit he talks while doing so. Nothing too highbrow here. Yet...
For those that want a little more art in their lives, you have Dezaki bringing his A-game in this one. Slick direction elevates the material to impressive heights, consistent art and animation lets you appreciate just how lacking it can be when not present in other works, and oh the postcards, so many postcards. The rugball arc is a real highlight too as you get this tightly paced little arc where motivations are well defined throughout and every conflict reaches a satisfactory conclusion without the show overstaying its welcome. Admittedly, there's some artifacts of the past that makes the show feel just a bit dated such as a corded phone, tape on a computer, the silver age pulp scifi feel, or the 4:3 aspect ratio but Dezaki managed to create this work that's surprisingly enduring despite these few hangups. Elevating the material to the level he had, coupled with the general positive tone of the show, never once leaves Cobra feeling an old show. In fact, it feels fresher than ever in the current anime atmosphere.
Really expected to be disappointed by this one after the intro covered the American Civil Rights movement in the 60s and MLK's assassination. Instead the episode really sort of proved me wrong by being a little more sophisticated than the usual fare the show has offered so far what with the better direction, great reaction shots, and the misdirection as to just what Blackjack was going to have to handle. Next ep looks like it's focused on PTSD too which, if handled right, will have built off the previous arc and the foreshadowing in this episode. I love when a show surprises me in terms of its expected quality. There's no guarantee they won't drop the ball again though.
Really? A doctor with a Jewish sounding name and that's how you design him?

I could be wrong, but she kinda looks like Miyu from Fate Kaleid.
It's her.
She's Sylvie from Dorei to no Seikatsu -Teaching Feeling, an eroge game from one of my favourite pixiv artists. He's the same genius who released a short VN on Steam where you romance a cyclops girl. So, who is this cutie pie:
Uhhh, big noses are a pretty common Osamu Tezuka design.

No.
Is Silvi from Teaching Feeling Ero Game
You know, both these pictures have a slightly creepy vibe about it. First one because it's hard to tell her age and is pet like.. a pet, evidently being rather flushed and excited. 2nd because the dude is portrayed like a creeper smiling with only half the face visible like that.
Also, are those burn marks? What is this, some kind of makeshift Hanako?

Haven't played the game but apparently she was, uh, treated badly by her previous 'owner'.
well she isabused slave victim
Ohhh okay gotcha. So in a way shouldn't fans be pleased with this? Unless they are of horrible quality, this would mean loads of new content that they never read on the manga. But let me guess, the quality isn't there lol.
I think i didn't really like the male mc

Thanks for the recommendations for Seven Deadly Sins. Show is fun as hell.
i liked the concept of seven sins but for some reason reading it was kinda a chore. Maybe the show's okay.

Do it! It's pretty good. It's just...not good. Perhaps once everyone has seen more of it I will go back and watch chance episodes but as it is, I am far more interested in watching the ancient Part 1 series.
That doesn't make it any better.
Still, the unfortunate implications of that design are pretty hard to overlook.
