Will keep watching this. The episodes had it's funny moments and it's action moments. I liked the initial cast of characters. Looking forward to next week

This is based on the new game that is out right ? Might buy it later.

Well, anime episodes being too short to tell "complicated" episodic stories is something which isn't new at all. Witch Hunter Robin, Darker than Black (even with most stories being two parters!), and even Mizushima and Aikawa's last BONES show - Un-Go. 20 minutes isn't much time at all, and the more you try to do the stronger your sense of narrative editing has to be. That's not a talent the industry is overflowing with. :p

Un-Go and Darker than Black were amazing and I wish both had more episodes. DtB need just a couple more to avoid the late rush they make with the story. Un-Go needs another season.

Ok, I kinda dig this series as a whole. I mean, there was a lot of cheesy stuff for sure, but the themes were unique as well as the characters and the story was fun to follow. It was a good design choice to choose multiple themes as endings for each "couple" with some wind, some losses and some stalemates, but lots of hope, lol.

Pretty good show

Yeah I think I would have liked Un-Go more if it weren't so half baked. Although that wouldn't make up for the utter disappointment I felt when the motivation of the murderer for the last case was revealed.

So really quick, which Lupin the 3rd special should I buy for an order? My options are Episode 0: First Contact, Napoleon's Dictionary, From Siberia With Love, Bye Bye Lady Liberty, Hemingway Papers and Green vs. Red.

To be fair, I might have an intense reaction too if my daughter had the hots for my son.

The problem here is that this too is her fault to begin with.

I still can't get over how cool Lum look in the op with this space pirate getup.
Chibi Sakura-sensei was really cute.
I went "WTF?!" when Ryuunosuke said she understood Mendou, but then she brought out her pile of love letters.
Lum face when Ataru said he was getting the biggest box for himself was priceless.
Lum and Shinobu "GATTAI" was good too.

I'm starting to see what people are complaining about. It's still good Yuru Yuri, but it feels a bit slow and off now. Kyoko especially was really nice this time. Meanwhile, Akari's sister goes through a crisis.

Heartwarming end to the first season. That was a really nicely animated performance at the end too.

Angry Grimace

Two cannibals are eating a clown. One turns to the other and says "does something taste funny to you?"
Mirai Nikki - The Future Diary

Seems pretty close to the manga. Its a lot of fun if you can deal with a completely fucking psychotic yandere as the heroine and don't question the decisions made by the characters too much. The big twist in the last few episodes is not that bad as far as WHAT A TWIST moments go. Although Yuno trying to kill Yukitera comes off a bit Anakin-like, and sort of invalidates a lot of her (completely insane) character arc.

Seriously, if the entire Second World died and changing everything in the third world was basically fine, why not just stay in the Third World? Seemed to work out just fine for the terrorist girl. Given that at the end either Yuno or Yukitera ascended to literal Godhood, its not like someone could have stopped them.

I'd give it a solid B, maybe a B- for pure dumbness. It's nothing super gripping or smart (its definitely not that), but its pretty entertaining and you get your fill of crazy yanderes.

Is Young Black Jack any good?

I've watched the opening and it the Opening song reminds me of Inuyasha for some reason. Like it sounds like it has the same notes as the First Inuyasha Opening

Thanks for all the responses guys.

I've decided to go with the Big O with Princess TuTu after. Slightly disappointed no one recommended Love Stage.

It's definitely worth watching and imo one of the best shows airing this season.

Just a friendly reminder that the series isn't supposed to be a realistic depiction of medicine because the amount of outrageous miracles done in the series is abundant. However, it mainly focuses on the medical drama and moral dilemmas Hazama(MC) faces. Each episode focuses a overall theme it tries to convey and that's what makes it a solid series. Hazama being Medical Jesus is icing on top.

Also if you are interested in the series try watching the 2004 anime version of Black Jack which is a bit dated however, it's still a fantastic watch. There's also the OVA series by Dezaki which is much more gritty and shows the bloody aspects of surgery.

Ataru tsun tsun tsundere. His initial reaction to seeing Rei in the locket, that pause. I almost didn't notice the moment when Ataru put the moon photo over Rei's face.
I don't know why Rei wants to get back with Lum, he only likes food.

Sorry for the late reply guys, I've been super busy with making the Blade & Soul OT as well as participating in their Alpha Test this weekend. If by chance I do miss a show that should be on my radar please give me a shout via PM so I don't miss out! :D

I can already hear people getting banned.

I can feel the ban coming, but I can't dodge it.
Goodbye everyone. I'm sure you'll all keep me in your hearts, or at least you'll remember me incorrectly as someone's alt account.

Probably incorrectly as Admiral Woofington's alt account.

Also, has anyone here watched RIN Daughters of Mnemosyne? Is it worth watching? I know next to nothing about it.

I have. Well, i don't think it's essential watching. It's confusing and convulted stories about immortal,a bit of noir and cyberpunk, with violence and sex scene in every episode.
So basically, a equivalent of exploitation film or b film

I watched it and thought it was garbage!

I honestly don't remember much about it beyond that. It starred an immortal private detective which at first sounded awesome but I think it quickly devolved into worthless unfun action also boobs everywhere, probably.

So, YMMV.

these dumb sexualised shows aren't as much fun to watch after the fact, right? is it usually better to join in on the weekly crowd subjecting themselves to trash than to bother looking at it later and burning out on the complete nonsense?

it only took 4 episodes for there to be tentacles in to love ru

lmao k

No, they are much better to watch after the fact when the Blu Rays are out. And by watch I mean scrub screencaps. Or have someone else do the work for you. There is a guy who just scrubs through the series and makes compilations of all the ecchi shit. He has done like 50+ series. I'm not gonna link his site because it's NSFW as fuck Edit again: lol nvm that's probably not a good idea. I'll give it to you on Twitter if you really want it. oh yeah he does manga too, the TLR D page is gargantuan

Well, Valkyrie Drive is uncensored anyway, I guess.

i'm not here for the fanservice, i'm here to pretend to be revulsed by it like everybody else but then to watch it every week in the secret hope it gets good, or at least gets less bad, but it won't. it never will

I dunno what there is to be repulsed by, it's not like every series is Cross Ange, Valkyrie Drive is just funny because of how ridiculous it is for what boils down to girls kissing

I watched Valkyrie Drive just to see how absurd it was and it seemed perfectly fine if that's what you're looking for. The ridiculousness of it was pretty entertaining even, reminds me of the kind of show that might have been screened for the IRC crew. As long as it keeps it consensual and doesn't devolve in gross rape scenes like that vile Sunrise show I might even keep watching even though the insane fanservice does very little for me.

I bailed by the point we got to the opening credits I guess. So its a porn version of Soul Eater?

Yeah, porn Soul Eater is a pretty good way to describe it

I too would like to see how they top the girl in BDSM gear being stomped in her naughty bits to turn her on and into a big chuuni arm*

Osomatsu-san 02

Liked this more then the first episode to be honest, I guess this style of comedy just appeals to me more. Odd to have an episode that's not representative of the actual content as your pilot episode though, it's only going to dissapoint people.

In the end I'm enjoying this so if every episode from now on follows this one I wouldn't even mind, I also like the artsyle, even that looks funny.

Osomatsu-san is basically just Prime Gintama. This latest season of Gintama has been missing the Pure Comedy Essence of its best seasons as it has apparently been absorbed by Osomatsu-san. Even before I knew the Gintama director left to work on Osomatsu-san, it was immediately obvious through they style of comedy that it contains the Essential Gintama Essence of Comedy. Even the staple straight man routine has been carried over and in a superior form.

Maturity, bitches.
Well that's a ticket to the London showing of Love Live (and some other shows) bought. No backing out now.

Just need to find a mask so no one can see me amongst a crowd of anime fans and blinkers so I don't risk seeing them around me.

Maybe it's because I don't really separate Gintama by season because I watched almost all of it together but I don't think this season is significantly weaker then the previous ones. My favorite comedy arc was the Character Poll one but I thought the gender swap and Gintoki/Hijikata body swap arcs were great.

There have still been solid episodes and arcs but I think if you compared the recent season to the peaks of Gintama, the condensation of comedy would be obvious. There were definitely points in the show that had almost no drop in quality over tens of episodes.

Yuru Yuri S3 02

I liked this episode even if there weren't too many jokes, I kinda expected a tidal wave of blood to suddenly appear during that Kyoko and Ayano section but it seems like I have to wait a bit longer before the best character is finally going to do something.

This is the highest, most impactful sexual violence I have seen yet.
...

I can already hear people getting banned.

Pssh. I got a better word for you, EROTIC VIOLENCE.
I think we all don't post nsfw shit here and we'll be okay.

I am only watching it because it will never get better than the first episode.
And frankly, I don't want it to be. But if it does, that's the cherry on the cake.
