So what journey should I go on next GAF. Outside of Emma (which I will watch soon) what essential series am I missing out on. (something with an ending)

G Gundam. It's got a fantastic ending. It's about love, men, the soul of the fist, and hilariously designed robots. Seriously, if you loved Eureka Seven you should definitely check out G Gundam.

So good.

You should watch Cross Game. A great romance focused title with an ending.

Hmm, this one has been on my Plan to Watch list for awhile now...

Hmm, more mecha, lol, but I will look it up.

Do you have a list? I can't think of another 50-ep series that takes you on a ride like what you experienced.

Also Cornbread, go watch either one of:

Black Lagoon
Full Metal Panic
Higurashi
The Vision of Escaflowne
G Gundam like Nman suggested
Gundam Seed
Hellsing Ultimate

You should find something you like between those 7 shows.

Eureka Seven was the last good thing BONES did. Outside of Un-Go and Gosick.

I remember Gosick being okay, but I watched three episodes of Un-Go and it just didn't click with me at all. The way mysteries were often solved by using the ability the MC's aide had of being able to ask a single question that had to be answered truthfully felt like a real cop-out for a mystery series, since it was always used to learn something neither the detective nor the audience could've known with absolute certainty otherwise.

Will probably be starting some other series I haven't watched yet. Still, rather than risking some random show that might not be what I'm in the mood to watch now, I'd like to ask you guys if there're any character-based shows that I should watch (any genre goes, I guess).

Edit:
Also Cornbread, go watch either one of:
I'd vouch for both Black Lagoon and Higurashi, with Lagoon being overall the better show of the two. Higurashi was really good for me as well, but that might be because I kind of became a 7th Expansion fanboy after reading through Umineko.

And my friends say I live in my own time bubble. Wtf.

With the amount of anime you've watched this year, it's not like you don't have free time :p. Plus it's not like we're telling you to watch One Piece (yet anyways)

It's been a horrible year at work, so I've had a LOT of free time at my desk. That is changing this fall though, which is why my consumption has dropped quicte a bit from what it was in the spring/summer.... (Yes, this drop is a damn good thing, it means I can make more money, hopefully...)

All the more reason to do it now while you have time. Honestly, I get that not everyone wants to invest the time in the gigantic mega series, but I think it's still worth it to give them a shot and then make that call, unless you're afraid you'll get addicted or something (which can be a legitimate concern for some people).

Then again, I jumped into a lot of the longer ones much earlier, or have been with them from the start. (One Piece still had over 300 episodes when I started (It was around the start of Thriller bark I think. At the very least I remember the manga was in the middle of the Oars fight. But still nothing compared to the over 700 episode titan it is today, especially since skippable filler arcs and episodes haven't been much of a thing in One Piece anime since that one that happened right around when I had caught up)

Nope, sorry. :/

Volume 11 just came out in June. Maybe we'll get a new one early next year.

If you're bored, seek out Volume 10.5. It's full of material that didn't get animated, like Hikki's date with Iroha.

This aligns with my interests...

Watch Hyouka Corn,

Yup.

I'll keep rubbing this show in people's faces until they all watch it and say how great it is. If you aren't Corn but still haven't watched it yet, get to it.

I'm not sure why this exists. Is this some, super good ending you can unlock in the game ?

Monogatari Second Season 1-5 rewatch

Tsukihi and Karen still suck.

But Hanekawa and the arc itself is better than I remembered. Still drags in places but the character development and the resolution to her arc make up for it.I completely forgot that there was a large, yet unfilled, hole in the story here with Araragi being mysteriously absent up till very end. A hole that must be pretty important since it involves Kanbaru, Gaen Izuko, that blond vampire hunter + even Shinobu mentions her link Araragi was broken. (Edit: Or was that Shinobu time ? This non-linearity will be the end of me.)

I'm going to vouch for Black Lagoon, Higurashi, and Hellsing Ultimate.

However, since you just came off of Eureka 7, I'd say watch Higurashi first since that one is also 50 eps. plus some side OVA eps. If you like some mystery, I think you'll enjoy this bit, especially in the 2nd half again. Man, they don't make cool 50 episode series anymore....

You better be making money while also being at the top of the Wall of Shame. You're losing your touch, BRAH!

Payback for yesterday's trash talking nudge. ^_^

Oh, and don't listen to TUSR if you can't fit in 300 episodes. ;P

It's an alternate end to appease the saber fans. It's was inconsequential in the game as well.

Blast of Tempest Ep. 7:
I'm only posting this because I must bow my head in shame and apologize...

OK, I take it back about Aika. She still shouldn't tease Mahiro like that, it's improper sibling bahavior (even if they are not related by blood), plus, when I had chicks do similiar things to "tease" me back in the day... yeah, let's just say they didn't get away so freely without any reprocussions, lol. It's always fun to turn the tables...

Oh and out of these, which offers the best character/relationship developement and story with romance?:
Cross Game
Black Lagoon
Full Metal Panic
Higurashi
The Vision of Escaflowne
G Gundam like Nman suggested
Gundam Seed
Hellsing Ultimate
Hyouka
Eureka 7: Astral Ocean
The Story of Saiunkoku

Wel, sometimes the marketisn't in you favor, but I'm thankful I work for a mostly stable company that will be financially responsible to stay in business. Sucks for sales, but once your competitors screw up, you take advantage of it, like the next couple months will be for me, lol.

Oh! Edo Rocket
Dusk Maiden of Amnesia
Wandering Son
Planetes

Emergency edit: For the love of all that is holy and dear to you please forget that E7: AO is a thing that exists. Save yourself from doing something you'll inexorably regret.
