Funimation's announced a bunch of Winter stuff according to WTK. HaruChika, Luck and Logic, Ghost Urn, Divine Gate, Grimgar, Prince of Stride, and Dagashikashi. Need to look into these to see if I'll watch any of them.

Dagashi Kashi went to Funi?

WELL

SHIT

To add on to my previous post, those were in addition to Dimension W, which Funimation is on the production committee of. They also have Fairy Tale Zero, and Assassination Classroom S2. Interestingly enough, the new Durarara season will be available for streaming on their website. That one is likely to stay with Aniplex in terms of home video, since they've released the other seasons so far.

I might watch Dimension W. Ghost Urn seems like it might be cute, though it's not quite the slice of life I'm looking for. Any slice of life anime airing next season?

I just need Nijiro Days (sad Funi didnt get it because they could have done the voice actor parts) and Kono Danshi, Mahou ga Oshigoto Desu. but thats 45 days away and sentai didnt get the previous one.

This show is about a 26 year old woman going around different restaurants eating and drinking with her internal monologues. It's actually very easy to describe this but not so much explaining it.

It's a pretty calming and heart warming show. The screenshot is an accurate description of the feel of watching this. The art is simple but it grows on you and really fits the feel of the show.

This is 2 minutes per episode so should take you about 24 minutes go get through its entirety so I'll also keep it short. You should watch this. My regret is not doing so as it aired now.

Edit:

On a different note, does anyone know if this release of Trust and Betrayal is the same disc that was released here as an import? I mainly need to know if this release has English subtitles.
The Amazon description claims that it comes with English audio and subtitles but I don't know for sure.

Although, I'm not really sure Dagashi Kashi can work as a full length show. It works better as bite sized (hehehe)

Same with Gyaru-ko

Oshiete, Galko-chan is a short anime; it will air as part of Ultra Super Anime Time, which has Kagewani, Hacka Doll and Miss Monochrome now and will have Galko-chan, Sekkou Boys, and 3 anime from Comix Wave starting in January.

Oh, ok. That sounds good.

Oh, so it is full length then?
More Hotaru is always nice, but yeah I think the show would fit better if the episodes had an 8 minute or so run time.

I tend to agree, 20 minute episodes are probably not the right format for it.

I'm 90% sure I read full length somewhere. We'll have to see, Nozaki did pretty good for a full length 4koma adaptation (DagashiKashi isn't a 4koma but chapters are short)

Like a lot of Aniplex discs, it's exactly the same as the one they released here. I can vouch for its dub/sub options firsthand.
As expected, but I thought I'd wait for someone who actually bought the JP disk to confirm since it looks like that's what the poster wanted.

So I just finished the third Berserk Golden Age movie Descent and I remember being way, way more impressed with
the eclipse
in the TV anime. Just in general the direction must have been much better in that. I'll actually take another look at at least the last episode of it but I'm quite certain of it already.

In addition, I prefer the TV anime's voice acting, although part of it is because I recognize some famous voices here that seem strange when voicing e.g. Griffith.

The soundtrack cannot hold a candle to the TV anime, that's for sure.

The CGI varies from solid to ugly and is often accompanied by this weird framerate stuttering. All in all, for anime standards, one might still consider it decent.

After seeing this movie though, I'd 100% recommend the entirety of the TV series over this. Anyone interested further should just check out the manga.

Ultimate Otaku Teacher 8 - 24(End)

This is an anime.

It was made in 2015.

It was done by A1 pictures.

This thing exists.

Shokugeki no Soma 21

Does just about every food reaction really have to be about stripping the characters? I get that the manga artist is a porn guy, but really, this is tiresome and repetitive already, and also diminishes the difference between various dishes when the reaction is constantly orgasmic.

Mailbox, why did you watch that abomination?

A1 pictures phoned that show in so much, it's almost kind of sad.

Pure morbid curiosity. Everytime I start a bad anime i always wanna know how bad it can get for some reason.

I think the only exception is dog and scissors which just sucked and made me very very mad by episode 2, i just couldn't deal.

Time to clear the rest of my "watching" section on MAL.

edit: I also feel like knowing bad anime keeps my expectations in check.

That pretty much never happens anymore in the manga current. You'll get more in S2, but they are less porny.

That's good to hear. The non- or lightly sexual foodgasms tend to be the better ones. I actually like the idea of hypersexualizing this aspect however, it's rarely actually that visually appealing and titillating, just like the rest genuinely worthless seuxal fanservice bits in SnS.

To some degree it's cheer repetition making it lame and, quite frankly, I'm not fond of these overly large melon tits which a lot of the female characters are 'blessed' with. And if you have to grand 'em those, draw them a tad more realistically at least. Some former hentai artist that doesn't do that well, heh. (Not actually surprising, with how common of an issue that seems to be there).

My favorite foodgasm was still the duck aria!

Thanks for the answers! It seems like this release of Trust and Betrayal is just a repackage of the original release, which was also the release that Aniplex of America released over here. The disc is likely the same, just in a standard Blu-Ray case instead of the digipack. I'll look into getting that later.

Jesus they haven't even fully released yamato 2199 in the west. What's taking so long.

Voyager USA canceled the last two volumes, so it looks like it's not happening. If another company picks it up from them, I don't think it will be for a long, long time. However, the original Japanese BD releases have English subtitles on them, so that's an option if you really want Yamato 2199 in your library.

Yuru Yuri S3 12

That's one way to end a flower viewing. Drawing robots is hard. Kyoko shows off her growth in maturity by offering genuine thanks for once.

So that was season 3 of Yuru Yuri, with less comedy and more yuri. It was still enjoyable, though definitely weaker than the first two seasons. Worth a watch if you like the characters.

I seem to remember someone (Thoraxes?) buying the NA BDs, but the episodes per disc don't line up right with the Japanese release, so there ended up being a bit of overlap.

Nobody wanted an expensive, sub-only release of 2199 from Voyager when they could import an expensive sub-only release straight from the source. Nothing about their release strategy dissuaded me from just finishing up my imported set.

Didn't realize 2199 was released in the west at all.

Most people didn't, thanks to Voyager USA's horrible marketing and release strategy. It also didn't help that they changed the name of the release to "Star Blazers 2199", since they really wanted to capture the Star Blazers audience, I guess.

Yeah, you're pretty much out of luck if you bought the NA BDs. You'll either have to start over, or deal with a bit of overlap.

Interested in watching Future Police Urashiman sometime soon, have been for a while now. I have a feeling that it'll be alright, just alright and nothing more but the OP just looks so good and has me so excited. Please don't disappoint.
