Everyone who posted in this thread just wanted to help you get your account back, but a lot of what you were posting seemed misleading, conflicting or sus.
If you've done nothing wrong other than sell a console with your account still active on it then hopefully you'll get your account back and if anything that console can be banned instead of your account, so the real culprit will be the one having action taken against them.

These types of posts pop up from time to time on the internet and pretty much always the OP is full of shit in some way.
Posted on a high stakes poker forum back in the day and you'd occasionally say someone complain that their account and funds from an online poker site have been seized (usually 5-6 figures USD) and there'd be an initial outrage about how the sites could just do this with no recourse.
A few hundred posts in, it would come out that the OP had either cheated ("oh, my roommate was playing in the same game but we weren't sharing card info") or had lied about their identity.
Similar deal here. When this type of thread pops up again one way, I recommend a healthy dose of skepticism. Remember that Sonys business model would be in serious jeopardy if customers started losing access to games for anything short of serious stuff.

May I ask how you managed to escalate the case to the point where they requested further information? Seeing as how their initial email said there was nothing further they could do and that your ban was permanent?
