thanks neogaf, without this thread i would've never known about the show
one thing i don't really like is just the amount of nudity, every episode there just have to be either tits or ass or man's ass, i mean come on... you don't have to show them in every single episode

Cinemax has a contract obligation for at least 1 nude scene per episode.

I view this as a plus, considering the quality goods on display.

That scene when she came out of the tub to jump her husband moved me in many ways.

This is a show where a man's head was caved in with a barbell, a woman was brutally beaten and raped, a dude got his face sliced open, another man was beaten near-to-death, a man got his finger cut off and fed to dogs, and you're uncomfortable that they showed some tits and ass?

If you're American, you're really living up to the stereotype that we (I'm American, too.) like violence and detest nudity.

Thankfully, I prefer the latter, and this show not only has copious amounts, but also some of the most attractive women on television.

C'mon that's one of the best things about the show!

:lol this is my feelings on it. Plus they cut some dudes dick off the last episode.

Who got his face sliced open again?

There's so much violence in this show I can't even keep track anymore, haha.

And you forgot the dude getting his ear sliced off.

Seriously. If anything, the nudity balances all the ugly stuff.

of course not, i just feel the nudity is too much
maybe i'm just not used to watching tv shows where there's nudity in every episode
i'm totally ok with the violence though, they're a lot more entertaining than the nude parts imo

There can never be too much nudity mang! Nudity>violence.

New episode tonight:
Behold a Pale Rider

Lucas’ cover is threatened when Carrie decides to give him over to Rabbit in an effort to protect herself and her family. Meanwhile, a drugstore robbery turns into a full-blown hostage crisis at the high school, with Deva (Ryann Shane) and Mayor Kendall’s wife Janie (Claire Bronson) among those whose lives are imperiled.

Jesus Christ..she's such a bitch for selling Hood out. He should have blown her head off afterwards

Selling Hood out was the smart thing to do. If she really didn't feel anything about him she would have put a bullet in his head before leaving. I know I would. She obviously feels very guilty for leaving him to rot in jail but what else is she going to do now? Now to see if she really meant for what happened in the end or if it was some way to keep him from going after her.

And Rabbit being already in Banshee? Fuck, this show is moving really fast. What the hell is going to happen in season 2? Alien invasion?

Actually no, it was both dumb and cruel. It was dumb because sooner or later he would have told Rabbit where she lived and cruel, because of how much he would suffer before dying. If she wanted him out she should have killed him.

As far as she knew Rabbit getting Hood and the diamonds meant he would stop going after her. She has kids to think of. I didn't say it wasn't cruel. But it was the smart thing to do.

God damn that ending was brutal. Hood has zero self control when it comes to this chick. I wonder how long until Ava actually admits that its his daughter.

A History of Violence - The TV Show.

Absolutely loving Banshee. Safe to say, it's the best new show in town as far as I'm concerned, followed by The Americans.

Awesome stuff.

Perfect description. This show is soo ridiculously manipulative. Obviously I can't stop watching it.

I can't believe Rabbit already knows exactly where Hood and Carrie are. Then again, there are only 3 episodes left, so maybe it's not so hard to believe after all.

Whoo hoo Job has all the diamonds! Some of them are even on his face! Now he can open up the most fabolous hair salon in Pennsylvania!

Drag queens in rural Pennsylvania? It seems far-fetched, right?

My mom lives in rural Pennsylvania. Not as intense as in Banshee, but not that far off either. The Amish are about an hour or so away, and all the roads are 2-lane country with trees crossing above. Covered bridges, farmer's markets everywhere, it's great.

Her friend-base is almost entirely composed of gay men. Her best friends own a salon. Many of her group are very talented in drag, and put on shows. Pumpkin in particular is one sassy bitch, kind of like a bigger, less Asian, Job. She worked as a volunteer for the Pride weekend organizing committee for years, and I'd go down whenever I could to help with that. It's an awesome community, very active and fun, especially for such a rural area. Banshee makes me miss the hell out of it.

The camera work, scene stitching, and sound design on the store robbery + chase through the alley all the way to the school was REALLY well done. This show is pretty damn fun.

This episode had a distinct lack of Rebecca, which is just criminal in my eyes. In fact, that conversation between Proctor and his Amish friend (brother?) in the beginning just kind of happened and then there was no follow up on that thread.

She left Hood to be tortured and killed that at least deserved a punch to the face.

Do we know Hood's real name?
