Fighting and fucking being similar has been a thing forever.

I had a dream about Banshee last night. Hood told Kai that he was leaving town and they, of course, got into a long fist fight.

Kai had glasses for some reason.

Another great episode, as usual, but I really couldn't shake the feeling that this was the episode where they had to reel in the budget drastically. No locations, none of the police were in it, no Sugar, no Job and hell even Hood didn't have much to do. Still, the episode belonged to Kai in my opinion. The scene where he threatens his father was amazing and the one with Rebecca was ridiculously uncomfortable. And Odette Yustman was completely out of place but she's super hot so, you know... things.

Only 2 more episodes sucks though. At least give it 12-13 next season.

I agree. I wasn't sold on Kai until today. But now i really see why everyone is afraid of him. Great job on his speech to his father and the one with his niece (that was creepy).

This show is amazing, it just keeps getting better.

The first episode I wasn't sure about it, but that fight in episode 3 sealed the deal. Now I can't wait to watch it every week. Every episode surprises me (e.g Kai's excellent acting in front of his father, I could really feel his emotions from his perspective) and the atmosphere is unique, nothing else like it.

The first season of this show has been better than any season of true blood.

I just hope it stays that way next season, we don't want it to end up like true blood, which has become a confusing mess like what happened to Heroes. (I still enjoy true blood thou)

It was a bit creepy but he's not exactly a "good" guy in this show, he just had an emotional face to face with his father that resulted in rage which all started because of her.

So I can understand why he was so angry, but he got too rough and too close to her, she's very beautiful and his loss of control led him to dirty thoughts, luckily for us? he gained self control back. Phew? haha.

Oh crap sorry for the triple posts, I should really remember to edit posts.

I don't think Alan Ball (the True Blood guy) is doing that much on this show. He didn't create the show. He didn't write or direct any of the episodes. The two guys who created it wrote every episode. It seems like they're mainly using his name for promotion.

Cool sounds good. :)

First, off Rebecca's body is so fucking stunning. Seriously. She haunts my dreams at night and I welcome it. Secondly, Burton is seriously skeeving out in this episode. Third, holy crap was that scene with Kai and Rebecca so fucking creepy and incestual. Ewwwwwww... I had to avert my gaze. And it started out creepy with him staring at her through the shower. Also, that scene with his dad was amazing. Serious God complex.

Holy crap, that Olek/Carrie fight scene went on for a long time. That had to have been like 45 minutes of them just beating each other to a pulp and Sugar like ignoring all the ruckus (lol he was prolly like "It's just Hood being Hood"). Gordon losing control was bizarre. Chill, dude.

What an incredible show. There's really nothing else like it on TV.

I don't know why, but I keep imagining what The Walking Dead could have been like with the creators of this show on board. It kinda has the feel of the comic down.

Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones, Spartacus, no? Same tits, ass and violence albeit different settings and levels of manipulative emotion...

I think the only episodes that I dislike so far is the rave episode and the biker gang episode, other than that this show is so damn awesome.

Beat EviLore at pool.
Finished the newest episode so fucking good. That fight scene so good. Really happy that it is coming back. All the females in this show are nice.

I think the rave episode had some pretty necessary scenarios within to help solidify a few characters' narratives and motivations.

The biker episode was pretty self-contained, but it did put Kai and Hood, if temporarily, on the same side for a moment.

So far, I've enjoyed every episode.

Spoiler territory, but I'd like to hear folks' most wince-inducing moments. For me?

Prison barbell neck drop.

Very hard to choose, because there are so many vicious, grounded savage moments...

Outside of CSI and Game of Thrones, I don't even know any other US shows that are popular in other continents. Maybe?

TWD is huuuuuuge.

Edit: And Bones and The Mentalist.

Yet another edit: The problem with riskier shows such as Banshee and True Blood is that fans watch them before they air locally (ahem) since most channels tend to schedule them way, way after dark.

Ah yes, forgot about TWD. I had no idea Bones and The Mentalist were popular overseas though. Hm. Apparently Nikita is too.

HBO should lock these guys up. They captured the feel of comic books better than anyone else ever has. I like this more than true blood and game of thrones.

I think these guys would make a beastly Punisher, Constantine, Blade, or some other comic book movie.

I finally got a chance to watch the most recent episode last night - great stuff. The show is picking up a ton of momentum headed into the last couple of episodes, and I can't wait to see what they have in store for us. They've done a good job of building up the characters thus far, and I feel much more engaged with what's happening (Carrie's struggles, Kai going off on his ex-family, Rebecca trying to find a place for herself, etc...) than I imagined I would at the beginning of the season. That fight scene went on forever - they had an unlimited supply of flimsily constructed wood items stored up in his bedroom, eh?

Lol, Odette Annable just shows up out of nowhere. Guess she needed the work.
Yeah, that was random. Didn't expect her to be rolling into town.
My only complaint is that Sugar and Job haven't been getting all that much screen time lately.
Agreed.

I liked the tighter focus on just a few characters this week, though the flipside is definitely missing Job, Sugar, and the deputies. Only two episodes left to finish off the season. I wonder how much resolution we're going to get or if they'll leave a few plotlines dangling in the offseason.
