What is Banshee?
Banshee is a balls to the wall pulp action series that airs Friday nights on Cinemax. Absolutely the most brutal show on television, it's like watching a visceral live action graphic novel where people get punched, kicked, stabbed, blown up, crushed, and otherwise beaten to a pulp every week. It's not all violence though - the show has an entertaining cast of characters consisting of a mix of Native Americans, Amish, Russian Gangsters, and Crossdressers, all of whom can throw out amusing insults and comments just as well as punches. Also, nudity. Lots and lots of nudity.
Season 2 will premiere in the Spring of 2014.

After Russell Means' character Benjamin Longshadow passed away in the Cinemax series "Banshee," the Native American actor passed away in real life on Oct. 22, 2012. Now Means' son, Tatanka Means, will have a role in the series' upcoming second season.
Tatanka will appear in approximatelyfive episodes in the second season of "Banshee." His character, Hoyt Rivers, will be the Head of Security for Anthony Ruvivar's Alex Longshadow, who is the son of the elder Means' Benjamin on the Cinemax series. This is the first of several roles that will be cast for a "Banshee" storyline that includes the Native American community.
