Omg that Burton/Nola seen had to be the best thing on TV ever! That throat ripping came out of nowhere, the dude don't stop and I like it!

Poor Brantly (his name, right?) I saw his demise under the wheel coming but it was still so gross. Nice to see some some stuff from the past season coming up.

Define lay need more Job/Sugar they crack me up when together.

I'll miss Nola but she went out in style. This show just keeps upping itself every week. Absolutely love this show.

Odette Annable needs to be an action star. Would love to see her in the Marvel universe or as an action lead in a film of her own. She's great. Awesome episode.

Really good episode. Dammit, Nola. I'll miss that sexy yet scary woman. I love that there are so many different story-lines. The military heist has been back-burnered for the time being and now we're faced with Nola and Chayton's brother biting it and the deputy knowing the truth about Hood. Next week should be interesting to say the least.

First crummy episode in a long while.

Everything about that fat guy was lame, from the fatsuit to the acting to the character. The electric gloves were dumb as hell. Nola dying so soon is a waste. I hate Chayton's idiot brother storyline. Also maybe the first ep I didn't like the time cuts.

On the plus side, when that bowtied dweeb finally gets got it's gonna be some gruesome, gruesome shit.

I forgot to mention The Return of Platinumm! ("That's Platinumm with two "m's", like "Mmm, she look good!")

Also, that cgi deer looked awful. :/

The only thing i don't get is... that was a guy in a fat suit, right? Why didn't they take a real fat person?

That was really strange, yeah. It was very obviously a fat suit and I don't know why they didn't just get an actor who was really that large irl.

Other than that though, I really enjoyed that side story (especially as an epilogue to the Jason Hood storyline from last season). Diversions like that were one of the things that made season 1 so fun (the random biker gang, the school shooting, etc).

I don't know why this show isn't a GAF obsession. It's phenomenal.

A lot of people don't have Cinemax. :/

So who bangs the nurse first..... Burton or kai?

According to Sepinwall, Kai's mom's nurse is Brock's ex wife!

- Zap2It: 'Banshee' EP dissects the best TV fight you'll see all year (includes gifs)
"Magnus Martens directed that episode and really wanted to do this fight sequence in what seemed like one shot," says Yaitanes. "We used a technique which involves hitching a number of shots together to give it the appearance of a single take. Marcus Young did phenomenal work choreographing this."

Yaitanes goes on to reveal that originally the fight was to have taken place in episode 2 this season, but when Annable became available for a longer shooting schedule, they moved the fight to episode 3 and really turned it into something special.

"We built a full day of shooting around it," says Yaitanes. "It took one full day to shoot and the actors spent six weeks training and rehearsing to be in physical shape to do it, because they're doing most of it -- and their stunt doubles are seamlessly woven in to the point where I can't even tell who's who anymore. That's how good and how solid their work was. They worked so hard on it, everybody did."

Nope. I couldn't disagree harder ... besides the gloves.

In the immortal words of Joey Styles.....OH MY GAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWD.

What a brilliant episode. How the hell will they top themselves after this?!?!? This blew EVERYTHING they've done out of the water.

Well fuck me sideways, what an episode. That was a season finale quality episode, I have no idea how they'll top that. The fight scene was perfection. If Burton ever dies I will be so fucking sad, such a scary and interesting character.

I'm surprised so many people here didn't see that Brock's ex is the hospice nurse. She was even in one of the Origin shorts this year.

I def think they are setting her up with Kai. Something is gonna happen which will fuel Brock's hatred of Proctor even more.

Did Banshee always have post-credits scenes ? I have only seen this one and last week's.
Yep, since the very first episode.

Nola barely did anything and she is already dead.... sad
i was expecting her to have some more impact on the story but oh well... at least that fight scene is good.

This show is like the pulp 80s action flick version of Game of Thrones. There are so many different storylines, factions, motivations, etc that it can seem overwhelming at first, but they all work so well together. And there is no "good guy", everyone has messed up, has darkness in their past. And the stakes are always being raised. I'm so happy this show has found itself again. (Funnily enough, GoT went through a similar slump/resurgence in their S2 & 3 also.)

If all was right in the world, this show would be having the success that is currently being doled out to The Walking Dead. Banshee is how you do pulp comic book action right, and it's not even based on an actual comic book! The fact that it is an original story makes it all the more impressive.

So the FBI guy sent a dossier about Hood to the police chick? Why? I think I missed something.

No he left the package as back up if Hood had killed him, like an insurance policy
He left it so it could be sent to the FBI, I'm guessing she grabbed it and wanted to see what was in it and that's what you see at the end of the episode

The clips we were watching throughout the episode of the CC footage of Hood and the NYC detective was her watching and it being imposed to what Hood was doing at the time to either help or contradict his actions

Also smart move by me for saving the first 3 episodes on my DVR, just watched them back to back to back, So GOO!
Job is God-Tier with the comebacks

Also I laughed hard when that General Dude grabs Carrie, pulls her aside from the patrons in the diner, starts going crunch a much on her down there, gets up, walks away like nothing transpired

She wanted to be the shark...didn't work out too well for her.

Longshadow warned her about that side of her character before, IIRC.

Still, i too think it's a bit of a waste, but on the other hand, it sort of keeps you on the edge of your seat, knowing they aren't afraid to kill off a character.

The Longshadows had it in for Proctor since their dad died. Proctor didn't even really do anything to him outside of get involved in the casino. Granted it's Proctor and the dude's fucking dirty, but that man was doing his best to make the casino happen. Every delay with it seemed to have been a pissing contest to try to establish some form or dominance over Proctor. You don't dominate the man. As he said himself, "sometimes the best way to get over the mountain is to go through it and going through the mountain is my specialty."
Watching ep 9 of season 2 and I forgot how good Job's action scene was. Decent hand to hand, but he doesn't have the constitution to fight any of the big named characters. Needs to learn to look out for those crazy NYC taxi drivers as well. The look of disappointment on Burton's face when he finds out Juliette isn't there to get garroted is hilarious. He's like:

But reversed.

Holy fuck.

That literally was the most Banshee episode of Banshee ever. If only there was more gratuitous sex.

But seriously. Crazy episode, start to finish. That fight. Fuck. My beloved Nola. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

But seriously, what an insane fight. And Denis O'Hare was pretty good tonight.

Need more Sugar and Job, haha.

Brant was hilariously fat, that was such a bad fat suit, hahaha. Loved how he died though.

So, I guess since there's another like, six or seven episodes still to come, Siobhan won't tell the other deputies Hood's secret. He does get shit done, he wants to be in Banshee, and they like each other.
